60 minutes in and the Bush are back in the lead through the whole team backing Counties while BOP were 50/50. HB and South are still locked together but South have more of a spread with Phooey on 39 and ACT back on 12. The minor placing games are also tied so far.
Waynes World looks to have a decisive lead in the TSL Cup while Higgins and Plastered Peni are tied. Overall Plastered Peni has gone into the lead but only 5 points cover the top 4.

Only 9 points cover the top 5 going into the final weekend - all to play for so make sure you tip on time. Broughie and Triple T are level on top.
3 of the 4 games ended up level which is unusual.
Wairapara Bush beat BOP by virtue of their top 5 scoring 179 to 178 which is about as close as you can get - except that South Island and Hawke's Bay finished dead level on 175 apiece and South Island go through because their non-scorer ACT scored 27 to Stargazer's 24.
Harbour-Auckland beat woeful Wellington and Northland scraped past four man Counties-Waikato 172-169.
Langikali is into the final of the TSF Cup - he will play the winner of Hurrycanes v Joan and Mary - that match is decided by whichever gets ahead first in the final week.

Never thought a mediocre 27 would be so important

Right we finally have some points in Week 9 - if you didn't know, a draw means zero for everyone. Most went for the Naki although a fair few went 9-16. A one point lead to Wairarapa Bush over the South Island based on 3 maximums against 2 but not much between them.
Joan and Mary is in the TSL Cup final having scored 10-7 against Hurrycanes to win the semi-final replay - and now leads in the final.
Overall, this is heading for the tightest finish ever - a 3 way tie at the top, 4th 2 points behind and 5th 4 further back. 3 of them are going for a narrow away win tomorrow night, 2 are going for a narrow home win so something will give.

JK had time to post Whoops but still hasn't tipped - unlike Allstar who did.
Joan and Mary making a push for league and cup double but Plastered Peni now leads by 2. Max 20/20 are mikedogz, Unite, Bay Boy Tim, J & M, FarNthHayden, PP, Victor, Virgil and DK.

@broughie Yes they are limping but you seem to be in reverse and accelerating!
Bush still lead but just by a point - pretty similar picks for the last 2 games so it could come down to margins. Counties-Waikato have finally found some form - 8 weeks too late. Mikedogz has 39 to lead all scorers, African Monkey has 36. NZZP has an outstanding 2 points from 6 games and could be heading to an all-time low score if Southland roll Ta$man. Plenty of other low scores around as Saturday turned into a tough day for tipping.
Joan and Mary wins the TSF Cup - a lead of 21 means she can't be caught - congratulations! And also leads in the overall standings so could do the double. A 6 point lead and picking 9-16 for both Ta$man and Harbour. Plastered Peni and Victor level in 2nd and going 9-16 Ta$man, 1-8 Harbour and 17+ Ta$man and 9-16 Harbour. In fact I reckon Joan and Mary can't lose from here with a quick bit of maths.

It's all over and here is the roll of honour.
1st Wairapa Bush. Once again the most consistent team out there, unbeaten for 2 seasons and with 3 players in the top 5.
2nd South Island. Surprise package of the season but only Joan and Mary scored well in the final round. Had the other 2 in the top 5.
3rd BOP. Limped over the line against Hawke's, a bit like in the real game. No real stars this season.
4th Hawke's Bay. 3 in the top 14 but all of them had a poor final round.
5th Northland. Gunner was near the top but apart from Justin77, the rest were a shambles.
6th Harbour-Auckland. Too many strugglers to compete.
7th Counties-Waikato. Despite 2 in the top 11, playing with only 5 all season made it tough.
8th Wellington. Used to be a force in the tipping world - they aren't any more.Individually
1st Joan and Mary. Stormed through to win by just a single point. Wasn't near the top until Week 4 and then consistent good scores got the victory. Has played every season and never been in the top 3 before - well done.
2nd Victor. Has now finished 2nd in NPC in 3 of the last 4 seasons. Couldn't have been closer this time, just a point behind,
3rd Plastered Peni. Cup winner in the last NPC, another strong season.TSF Cup
Winner: Joan and Mary. Only the second winner of the double, after Propsicle 3 years ago in NPC.
Most matches correct: Joan and Mary. 3 better than anyone else, 78% of games tipped correctly.
Most margins correct: Victor by one from Gunner and Triple T. 40% of games picked with margin.
Most 50+ weeks: Bay Boy Tim, Hydro11, Victor and Gunner with 4/9.
Most 40+ weeks: Victor with 8/9.
Finally thanks to everyone for playing, with the Facebook group working well and Higgins doing a fine job of reminding, this has been the best season yet for people staying in the comp. See you all in February.
