I have created a league called Ferner's Fantasy League. Once you have signed up and created your username you can join the Ferner's Fantasy League through the following link - https://www.playfantasyrugby.com/leagues/join/6YUQWEMT
It's an absolute pile of shit. Players in the wrong positions and basic as website. I might not stick around long.
Well I'm currently equal top, and the more that leave the better my final position will be
Fantasy Leagues often have that, when you can pick like 4 locks as they are listed by their franchises as locks but play loose forward often. All part of the games. The only way to stop that would be to have every player available for every position. But all teams list players in a position they almost never play, like tens that always play 15. Not the game's fault

They've also listed Cullen Grace as lock. Has he even played lock before?

Well that's an f up on the Crusader's behalf. He's clearly a loosie.

Yeah the info is pulled from the teams, I guess they shoud implement players being able to be tagged in mulitple positions, esp backs. But it is based on the one position listed by the franchise - as I said not FR fault, just part of rugby not moving with the times when it comes to fan engagement with info.
-
@Machpants its so obvious it annoying, we're not talking a third party thing like superbru...this is "offical"
-
In. Hoping that they adjust player positions to relfect where they've been selected by teams. Budget is mental - only had to make a small adjustment to get almost every fit player I wanted.
Let's see how it goes and if they're switched on enough to adjust the first season as it progresses. At the moment it looks like a school version of a fantasy league.
-
@antipodean yeah...feel ive done something wrong...i still have $3M even after going back an upgrading positions i thought id compromise on
-
yeah the budget should have been less, I have a few players of lower value I think will be good, while picking some frontline ones and still have $2m left.
Other ones usually have unlimited trades until week 1 closes.
Should be maybe 3 or 4 trades a week, although if a player is injured, you can trade them without affecting your trades...but it would appear our hopes of this assisting with updated injury status wont happen.
Wonder if once teams locked in, you can see one anothers teams?
-
Just an update on who's signed up so far. Keep it coming team.
-
@Canes4life looks suspiciously like my finishing position too.
-
Anyone looking to add Caleb Clarke to their team won't be able to as he's not even an option.

not if i have anything to say about it

Four players have opted out of Fantasy Super Rugby. Caleb Clarke (Blues), Sefo Kautai (Highlanders), Tuna Tuitama and Jonathan Taumateine (both Moana Pasifika) are the players to have opted out, according to rugby.com.au.
-
i assume they view it kind of like gambling or something?

Another consideration might be the level of abuse from fans that US players receive due to fantasy performance.
-
@KiwiMurph didn't know that was a thing, maybe yeah...people really are the worst

It's always really un-athletic people behind their keyboards that are the worst. Those sort of people that are probably still living in their Mum/Dad's basement that think they can somehow perform better without having played a pro game in their life.
