TSF Super Rugby Tipping 2024

The results have been posted https://thesilverfern.com/tipping/
Getting 6/6 results was relatively easy this week - getting margins correct was much more tricky and almost nobody scored for their category picks. Richie and Kruse shared top score with 47 a point ahead of Sportboy. Richie the only one to get 3 correct margins.
No big moves at the top and the ladder has formed into sets of 4. The top 4 are separated by 5 points and are 18 clear of the next 4 separated by 2 points who are 15 ahead of the next 4 separated by 5 points. In order Waynes World, Victor, Hydro11 and Triple T should be battling for the title with 3 weeks remaining with Mikey07, Winger, Kirwan and myself needing a big week to bridge the gap.
The Sequel Cup final is between Victor and Langakali - played over just a single round.
One more week of the round robin teams comp and Canes Black sealed their semi-final place while Blues B are almost there. The 4th spot is still open with SunJags needing to beat Canes Black to seal a place, Canes Gold and BOP Chiefs are waiting to pounce. Blues A, South Island, Canes Gold and SunJags all played a player short so getting a full team of 5 is a priority for them.

It was a tough week for the tipsters https://thesilverfern.com/tipping/
@gt12 was the only one to pass 50 with 3 margin picks (which was impressive given hardly anyone could pick a margin). The majority went against both the Canes and the Crusaders and nobody picked 6/6 - picking 5/6 were Victor, @Dan54 Laurence & @dK - of these only Dan54 passed 40 as did @rico1 due to picking all 4 categories for an extra 20 points.
Not huge movement at the top but with just 2 weeks left Victor leads by 2 from Hydro11 with Waynes World and Triple T falling away.
The ladder is complete and the Barbarians are the minor premiers. Canes Black and Blues B comfortably in the top 4 and meet next week. BOP Chiefs sneak in ahead of the SunJags on points scored and have the dubious pleasure of losing to the Barbarians next week.
Victor won the Sequel Cup, beating Langakali 37-24 and now with a chance of bagging the league/cup double.

The results are in https://thesilverfern.com/tipping/ and the form is live for the FINAL round of TSF Tipping.
It wasn't a week for trying to pick an upset as every winner was the favourite - and if you could get the margin then a big score was on - most people picked 6/6. Best was @hydro11 with 67, nailing 4 margins and hitting the top of the table by just a point from Victor who had 64. Hydro11 is going for a 3rd consecutive title and the key to success is those margins, now 8 clear of Victor with 40% against 31%.
All the current top 8 scored 60+, @mikey07 and AI @Kirwan crashing spectacularly out of the leading spots - Kirwan with a weekend low of 26. Remember it is a maximum of 15 per game next week so an upset could still disrupt those top spots.
As expected, the Barbarians crushed the BOP Chiefs to reach the final - with all 6 of their players in the top 15 they are a juggernaut this season. They will play Canes Black who eased past Blues B - can they stop the Barbarians winning their 4th consecutive title and grab their 3rd and 1st since 2018?

Right, I've got my entry done and it did not take much thinking all round with all games and margins pretty obvious. Probably explains why I have pottered around in midfield most of the season! The Teams and Individual race could well come down to someone who goes off piste and pulls off a "surprise" category pick. Get your tips done nice and early before taking a well earned rest before the NPC starts.
