There was a large update to the forum software. Part of that was a new layout. I do not have control of where buttons have moved to etc
I have added TSF styles over the top and a dark mode
(FYI if you are interested here's what nodebb looks like without our customisations nodebb forum)
The moving around of the some of the buttons can be annoying at first. It doesn't take long to get used to.
Some things that have changed
- Draft posts can be saved and completed later. You can have a list of posts ready to go
- On larger screens there a new scroll to post widget on the right hand side of threads
- Search is better, has more options
- UI is a lot better on the user page, chat etc

Eek, I can't handle change.
You sound like Stargazer He didn't like change either
Give it time
I'll start another thread about what changed, why etc
Well I wasn't being serious, although I don't like change - but not enough to post on the Grumpy Old Man thread about it. I did like the previous incarnation of the forum though.
Is this time of the year a normal forum update time as Planet Rugby has just updated to a slightly new interface too.
As ever thanks for you work at keeping the trains running.

Without the toolbar is there an easy way to get back to Sports Talk from within a thread? The options seem to be scrolling to the first post in that thread to access the Sports Talk icon or using the Forum link on the Homepage.
One of the things I don't have control over unfortunately
I would prefer a link to the threads forum, and the thread name, be visible inside the thread
Now you would need to do two clicks categories > sport. That's better than scrolling up particularly on a long thread
When I have time I'll see if there's a way of forcing something better

Huh? I only said that moving the icons from the toolbar at the top to the left/right was counter-intuitive and that I preferred them at the top. I also said I would get used to it. I never said I didn't like the change (or change in general).
What Changed?
