PM Error Messages

I am trying to send a PM but keep getting it rejected under the 1000 character limit. Even tried sending to same recipient under a different existing conversation thread but no joy, the intended message still gets rejected despite it being under 1000 limit. Even tried setting up a new conversation to the recipient but no luck there either with the same error message. Have deleted previous messages sent to the recipient in the same conversation to try and attempt that but the intended message still gets rejected despite it being under 1000 limit.
Can anyone shove in the right direction toward overcoming my dilemma?

I have doubled the chat limit to 2000. Refresh and try again. It might be worth clearing your browser cache too

@Duluth Murphy's Law I tried again just this now with a total of 997 characters on a talk thread that previously rejected it and hey presto it went through. Thanks for your help, hopefully the initial problem has gone away!
