2016 TSF Super Rugby Tipping www.eglobal.co.nz/tsfs16/tsf.htm
-

Missing tipsters this week are KiwiMurph, MooshLD, Bullethole & Handsome Ray. ACT was late to tip and so missed his correct pick of 9-16 to the Saders.

We have gained Phooey and MN5 as tippers and Phooey and Timslim are the leaders so far with 17/20. Nobody picked Brumbies 17+ and most who picked the Crusaders went for 1-8. Antipodean started in 3rd but hasn't got a point so far.

A lot of movement in the individual leaderboard this weekend. The 2 previous joint leaders are now 21st (WtW) and 15th (Crucial) meaning that Hydro is now 16 points clear as he had the best round of the weekend (61) which was his 3rd consecutive score over 50. Higgins moves up to 2nd spot with other big rises into the top 10 for Chaz, Hurrycanes, Redeye, Wildman, Winger, Unite and Stargazer. With big risers come big fallers and others to drop out of the top 10 were Gunner, Tim, Hooroo, KP and Stockcar86 with the lowest score of only 23.

No 7/7 tippers this week with the Stormers/Sharks catching out all those who picked the first 6. Plenty had the Chiefs as top scorers for a 5 point bonus. Midge had 5 perfect picks.

Some team changes following demotions for tippers absent 2 weeks running :-

Phooey and Mariner4Life replace Bullethole and MooshLD for the South Island.

Crucial is in or KiwiMurph for Blues A.

For the SunJags, Joan and Mary replaces Handsome Ray.

On a warning are Gibbit and Timslim.

The SunJags lead the comp with 3/3 beating a mediocre Blues A. Hydro was the standout with the rest of the team average at best. Justin77 with 45 the best for Blues A who mustered only 3 maximums between them compared to the SunJags with 10.

The Barbarians move up to 2nd with a hard-fought 48-45 over the BOP Chiefs. 3 50+ scores for Triple T, Higgins and Stargazer were the key against the 2 for the Chiefs (Midge and Unite).

The South Island thrashed Blues B and had the highest team score of 50. Their lowest counting score was a solid 46 and the standout was 56 for Wildman. Meanwhile Blues B's best score (43 for DK and Dogmeat) shows how far behind they were.

Finally in the Hurricanes Derby, Gold triumphed over Black thanks to Chaz and Winger with the rest of the team solid. For Black Victor and Hurrycanes reached 50 but Stockcar86's 23 had to be counted due to Gibbit's absence.
-

So why did we have to tip the Reds/Force game? ;)
-

With the Chiefs game still to come and 2 draws this weekend and some blow-outs, scoring has been difficult this week.

Best so far is Cactus Jack with 40 and Donsteppa, Redeye, Paj & Triple T have also picked 5/5 to date.

Your weekly report:

The BOP Chiefs triumphed over the previously unbeaten SunJags by 33-31 - Hooroo was the main man with 42, well supported by Donsteppa and Midge. Unite was discarded with only 19 which meant Sportboy's 24 had to be counted even though he turned up late. The SunJags had no 40+, the best being Bones with 37, Mikedogz and Hydro also passed 30. Joan and Mary were discarded with only 19.

The South Island beat Blues A 35-33. Redeye starred with 45, backed up by Phooey and ACT Crusader. Wildman didn't turn up at all. Blues A had 45 from Crucial and a good score from Virgil but the rest sucked and Tim and JK shared the low score of 24.

Canes Black whipped Blues B 38-29. Cactus Jack was the hero with overall top score of 50, Stockcar86 and Hurrycanes chipped in well and Gibbit's 24 could be discarded. Blues B had a best of 37 by Gunner and DK's 19 was discarded meaning they had to count 2 scores of 24. The only attacking bonus point of the week went to Canes Black.

Finally the Barbarians squeaked past Canes Gold 31-29. Waynes World managed 40 and Triple T 37 and that was about all for the Baabaas - Stargazer's 19 was discarded. Canes Gold's best was 35 for Chaz with 22 from Winger discarded.

The SunJags stay on top despite their defeat with the Barbarians close behind and the BOP Chiefs and the South Island also in the play-off spots. Canes Black are off the bottom with their first win leaving the Blues teams rooted - much as usual for Blues teams.

In the individual comp, the only 2 to pick 6/6 were Cactus Jack and Redeye who moved up to 3rd and 2nd respectively. First average week for Hydro but he still leads by 9. Also moving up were Crucial and Hooroo into the top 10. Tumbling down were Winger, DK and Wildman who failed to tip.
-

A public holiday today so many of us will be out of our normal routines. I myself will be heading out to watch a match in the opening round of the 2016 Club Season here in Wellington and then maybe off to take in the Canes v Kings game later on (dependent on the result of the game I'm taking in - there is a wager at stake and the four jugs might take me a bit of time to consume!). Maybe might even bump into Canes4life if he is up at Lyndhurst Park checking out any new talent that might be on the field.

Just a reminder to make sure you get your tips in on time, and that is especially pertinent to those that might have been out with injury the last couple of weeks. Get you tips in so you don't let your team mates down.........................................
