Tell me about it - although I did finally complete the Euro comp I was running so a few select Ferners are happy ....
-

I'm always keen...my <strike>guessing</strike> analysis of our provincial comp is far more astute than Super rugby.

-

Ok guys, Week 16 is live now - first legs complete of the playoff games and Stargazer is the TSL Cup winner.

And finally we're all done

Roll of honour - Hydro takes the individual title, winning it somewhat like Froome won the Tour de France. He built up a big lead midway through and never looked like being caught eventually winning by 45 points from Donsteppa. Cactus Jack sprinted through on the line to take 3rd place and pushing cup winner Stargazer down to 4th.

Team winner - the Barbarians took the final over 2 legs, pipping the BOP Chiefs after they finished 98-98 on aggregate. Over the 2 weeks, their counting players scored 2 more points so effectively a victory by 0.2 of a point.

Hydro also picked the most results by 1 from Stargazer. He also picked most correct margins by 5 from Donsteppa. Hydro also had most 50+ and 40+ totals.

So that ends TSF Super tipping for another season. If I get the time, I'll update the overall numbers soon.
-
Thanks KP. Another big effort. Also a shout out to your padawan Higgins

Thanks for playing guys. I think for me the key was backing the New Zealand teams and not being afraid to pick them 17+ against foreign opposition when others were going for 1-8.

True that. Many of us were looking at a game like Brumbies v Chiefs and thinking a close Brumbies win or a close Chiefs win (based on previous seasons) but this season, the NZ teams have romped through most games - even at venues where they usually struggle.

Congratulations - it was a dominant victory
-

As above thanks KP (& Higgins) and congrats Hydro.

Blues B - recruitment has to start now. Season after season dawns full of optimism but all too quickly descends into the customary mire.

Not helped when half the team pull up mid-way through the season with "I've blown my calf" - yeah we all saw you down the pub, or "my new girlfriend wants to go to the craft market on Saturdays"

then they go to Raro for a break during the international season and never front again.

Priorities pussies, priorities.
-

I have started rounding up last years Hawkes Bay Mitre10 Cup Team (newcomers making themsleves availabe for selectioin are also welcome) and from sharing a few beers with most of the Bush Team over the last few weeks they look to be back en masse to defend their title. Come on guys time to start your recruitment drives to enable all the teams front up full rosters of reliable tippers who tip each week to make each contest more meaningful.
