Haha Grant Williams is a moron.

Celtics leading by 9 late - he then starts trash talking Jimmy Butler.

Butler proceeds to go beast mode and Celtics lose the game.

@KiwiMurph I do love a bit of feeling a playoff game though. Not a huge fan of Williams (can’t stand Tennessee) but he at least plays with a bit of passion as opposed to the many robots playing. He actually played pretty well, just got outplayed by Jimmy on those switches.

Celts not getting enough from the likes of Smart, Horford and White.

@ACT-Crusader oh yes Celtics have a lot more problems than Williams.

Why weren't they double teaming Butler at the end?

    Jaylen Brown came up small.

It was quite interesting listening to Charles Barkley criticise the Celtics offense for being iso ball.

You have to wonder where the Celtics are going - they have all this talent but their coach looks woefully out of his depth and they don't look capable of winning a title as currently constructed - something has to give you'd think.

Wow. Denver dominated LA in LA to take a commanding 3-0 lead. LA got close a few times, but were never seriously in the hunt. Jamal Murray was brilliant, Jokic was quiet for 3 foul troubled quarters, then closed strongly in the 4th

Every team loses then fires the coach this year. I think 76ers and celtics will be justifiable. Doc is overrated. Mazulla is undergone.

Actually raptors as well. Think Nick Nurse is a great coach but a squad probably wants something fresh after awhile as he's unique.

short of a 30 year old LBJ suddenly turning up, or someone shooting Jokic, it's Nuggets v Heat in the finals

    Good.

1 versus play-in is probably good for the league.

Both teams have developed to this point as opposed to buying their way there, which is good.

Celtics all over the show with their defence. Overplaying the 3 for some of the Heat players (eg Duncan and Strus) but slow to rotate to others (eg Vincent and Martin). I can sort of get the non-double team on Jimmy because he’s developed a pretty good passing game, but there is so little resistance when Heat players get into the pain.

I don’t blame the coach, he’s very wet behind the ears, but as a collective coaching and playing group they have been resoundingly outcoached by Spol.

The blame goes on GM Brad Stevens for putting a title contender in the hands of a coach clearly not up to it.

    That was an excellent game.

Lakers went down fighting unlike the Celtics. Wonderful LeBron performance.

However - Jokic and the Nuggets what a story. Talent, teamwork and coaching. How awesome for their fans - first Finals appearance. How good.

They have golden opportunity. MIA handled Boston, but they were terrible, and the Heat are shorthanded. Joker, Jamaal and their excellent supporting cast should be too much for Jimmy

@canefan don’t count out the Heat. Their shooting has been lights out and not just this series. Jimmy will be a headache for the Nuggets defence. Throw a cagey guy like KCP but Jimmy will back him down. Throw a Porter Jnr and Jimmy will outsmart him. Brown will be a good option.

Bam is a different sort of player to AD. Bam likes the ball in his hands and is more of a playmaking threat. That’s a different defensive assignment for Joker.

Hopefully the Heat get the business done tomorrow and both teams will be rested before the start of the Finals.

@ACT-Crusader It will be fun to see what Spols cooks up to try and slow down the Nuggets offensive juggernaut. Given the Nuggets are middle of the pack defensively it could be a very high scoring Finals.

What a turnaround by the Celtics.

Another strong defensive display and plenty of ball movement on offense to easily take Game 5.

Game 6 this weekend in Miami should be wild.

Wow, Celtics coming all the way back. On paper they should have never let it get to this point, getting into a 0-3 hole against a depleted Miami team. Looks like they might have woken up just in time

There’s going to be some nervy players from both sides tomorrow. A buzzing Celtics crowd, a Heat team that is down on numbers, a desperate Jimmy and Tatum trying to not fall again.

Head says Celts. Heart wants the Heat.

Sources: Sixers to hire ex-Raptors coach Nurse

Sources: Sixers to hire ex-Raptors coach Nurse

Nick Nurse's desire to coach MVP Joel Embiid and his history with Daryl Morey played a significant part in his decision to commit to a deal with the Sixers, sources said.

Nick Nurse didn't have to wait long. He will have a good squad to work with, Embiid, young up and comer Maxey, and a bunch of good role players. Harden looks to be gone and I think they are better off without him

If you're the Celtics why would you supermax Jaylen Brown?

He has awful handles, awful basketball IQ and comes up small in big spots.

    I just don't see it.

@KiwiMurph he certainly had a Harden-esque type performance tonight. TO city.

As for his contract situation, unless they can find him a home in the West there’s no way they are letting him go to another East contender unless they get significant assets in return.

Celtics have been in a difficult situation for years. They have a group of very good players, but none of them are what I would consider super duper stars. And that includes Tatum

Tatum is pretty elite although not my favorite player. Rough to say he isn't a super duper star. Was in MVP conversations throughout the year. Taken his team to a final and conference final and had some pretty big games during that time. Embid/harden/cp3 over the years with worse stats in playoffs then reg season.

I'm not buying his jersey but he's elite.

Brown is a tough one they are dammed if they sign him as then they have no cap. But of they don't and get nothing for him it makes it just as tough.

The Nuggets were always in control of Game 1 even though the Heat made a couple of runs in the 4th Q. The Heat had plenty of good, open looks but Martin and Strus couldn't make a basket (a combined 1 for 17).

Joker and Murray looked to be doing pretty comfortable. The efficiency was there. Thought the Heat didn’t play too bad other than the poor shooting.

Highsmith or Love might need to start to add a bit of size because it was mouse in the house stuff for a while.

Vogel's goal for Suns: 'Take the league by storm'

New Suns coach Frank Vogel says the team has the foundation in place to win a title and that they "need a lot of luck and ... some breaks along the way."

I think this is a good hire. He did a good job in LA and was fired for the sins of the GM IMHO. He will try to toughen the Suns up
