My Latest All Blacks Quiz

Took me 44 secs. I agree that the Brumbies/Rebels player was the hardest to get. All of these players' try-scoring feats have been mentioned regularly by the media over the years.

Nailed it, piece of piss with 2:20 left.

Here you go chaps. Thought I'd give you a bit more of a challenge.

All NZ Super Rugby Head coaches since 1996.

http://www.jetpunk.com/user-quizzes/83115/new-zealand-super-rugby-head-coaches
-
Well ... 22 of 32.

All the names familiar.

"Saw" two in my minds eye but couldn't get the names (first Saders coach and 2003 Blues).

Missed an obvious Canes one that would piss Nepia off.

Wasted time on a Chiefs coach that I already had because Canes.

Didn't realise above Blues coach had the Clan too. Missed the other dual Blues/Clan.

A couple of Clan with the same name.

And an ex Counties coach with Red Squad tendancies ... -
-

Missed two I should have remembered and two I don't think I would have ever got but still recall anyway.
-

-

25
Should have got Vance Stewart and Uncle Laurie. Might have got Gilbert with a bit more thought. Meurant, Greene, Ross or Moore - Meh.
-

I ended up with 31/32 but struggled to remember some of the Highlanders coaches and missed their 1998-99 coach.

An observation, the Blues and Highlanders have had a lot of coaches. The Crusaders, not many.
-

Only six in total with a title to their names. Boyd and Blackadder with a chance to add their names to the list, but I'm tipping JJ to join the club of multiple winners.
-

Missed two of the current coaches Just had a mental block also the blues coach of 09-12

-

28/32

missed 2 chiefs coaches and 2 highlanders coaches.
-

Missed Chiefs 2001 - likely on purpose, Highlanders 1997, 2008-2010.

UHB - do you have a quiz of players with the most NPC titles? We were speculating on this in the Auckland M10 Cup thread.

Sourcing this info is possibly not that easy given the competition has been in operation since 1976 I think. Guessing some of the Akl players of the 80s and 90s would have a swag of titles. The likes of George Whitelock with Canterbury probably up there as well.
-

On that note though, and I was a bit hesitant to do this one given how two provinces have just dominated.

Limited by speed of typing on the dumb phone.

Missed 77 and 78.

Obviously knew 76 and was living in the champions area in 80, so knew that snd either side.

After i got the 80s i started working backwards.

And got back to 2007 (I think) but ran out of time to get between anbout 92 to 06.

You spelled 2015 wrong by the way. Had me flummoxed. -

Apologies re 2015 spelling, have edited it now.

Several players on the list have caused us some pain over the years!
-
Good quiz. Should have done better.

Mis spelt one of the 26s.

Bad a few mental blanks. -
Another quiz ideas for you is All Blacks who have had brother(s) who have represented another country.

You could just make the quiz since 1990 (which to my knowledge would only rule out the Schuster brothers). I'm sure if any are missed people on here will be quick to suggest them ......

Some of these include one of the brothers also being dual internationals themselves, as well as a brother playing for another country.

The first name to jump to my mind is Bachop. Both brothers played for the AB but the 1st Five Eight also played for Samoa.
-

Umaga as well

-

Saw James So'oailo play club rugby the other week, he and his brother Stephen played for Samoa, Rodney of course an AB.

James and Michael Broadhurst spring to mind as well.
-
Charles and Siale Piutau
-

Kevin Mealamu's brother played for Samoa from memory as well.

-

Andy Leslies boys turned down black jerseys to play for Scotland.

Got them all except one member of the 10th wicket partnership ( is that still a world record ? ) and both members of the 8th wicket. A bit of guess work in some of them to be fair......Surprised our best ever for the 5th wicket is relatively low to be honest.

15 in the cricket - should have done better but would never have remembered the opener
