Otago vs Canterbury (RS)
-
Hahahaha Bateman. This will be interesting.
-
@Steven-Harris just replying to myself ,game on again ..!
-
Otago need a converted try and a draw now. Crazy last three coming up
-
A converted try is enough for Otago to keep the Shield.
-
Fuck me dead. Nareki is insane. Can't wait to see him in super next year.
-
Droppie??
-
As good as Canterbury have been this evening,Otago have done their best to kill themselves this evening..
-
Pen!
-
Who did the Latta?? (Sorry Crazy)
-
Canterbury need to take the kick.
-
I think it's safe to say that the Shield is going to move North.
-
Superb game ,congratulations to the Cantabs,
-
It's coming home
-
Belter of a game. Was always going to be.
-
GG Canterbury. Entertaining second half. Otago too shit in the first half. Cooked 2 tries. Up Harbour next week.
-
This also means that the Shield is going to the Premiership. Ta$man may get a challenge next year.
-
@Stargazer Ta$man played in Chch in Rd 2 this year bahahaha
-
Go Harbour! (next week)
-
It’s back home!
Otago always have a run in them during every game no matter how they start.
Great game.
-
How has Enari gone this season? Was expected big things from him.

I didn't see this game but Franks vs Big Karl in the scrums.

So, I was highly annoyed last night that Luke Whitelock showed zero joy or even interest in having won the Shield and when asked directly how special it was to win it, he completely danced around the topic. This is fucking shit. Even when he received the Shield it was a half-hearted lift and barely a grin.
Then this morning I hear a RS interview with Luke Romano and it's just the opposite. Still out of breath, he was at pains to talk about how special it was to win it. Much, much better. Pretty sure I saw Romano give the Shield a smooch as well.

Another @shark thread where he's gloating in his usual 'subtle' manner

How do you get that from me criticising the skipper?
-
To be honest it must be a Whitelock thing, Sams post match speeches are also uninspiring, while Read has a grin from ear to ear
-
Your humblebrag game is strong!
-
A couple of intercepts for old veterans, good to see Adam Thompson still got it
-
@shark By starting a thread on it the next day instead of just writing it in the game day forum lol.
We get it, your team won the ranfurly shield (again)
-
Not much sport on if this deserves a thread.
-
@Machpants I was surprised he's still that quick!

You don't think some kind of marker - not a good one - was laid down here? The lack of reaction from Whitelock isn't a great omen, or is it just a reflection on him do you think? I'd rather think it was the latter.
-
A well thought out thread topic in my humble opinion.
I was a bit disappointed at Luke’s log reception too given we had beaten the old southern foe and how well we had actually played.

Who the hell are these blow-ins telling a Fern veteran what's acceptable for a thread and what isn't?
Thank you, Voice of Reason

Yes, I couldn't agree with me more, too.
