Taranaki vs Northland
-
He knocked that on at the turnover. But kick to the line and go to set piece.
-
@J77 our forwards have set a reasonable platform for us to launch from, but we have then fizzled out with error after error.
Need to push Gregory in to 12, if fit, Tua to 13, or even Hyland, if not injured.
Our 12/13 has been very poor today bar that good period on defence for about 12 phases in the 1st half.
-
@taniwharugby and play smart rugby.
-
I get a feeling the injury list is going to be horrendous this week.
Looks like it’ll be Northland B vs Hawkes Bay next week.
-
one of the naki guys pulled on a northland jersey in that passage, he was never gonna be involved, but still a jersey pull
-
@J77 hopefully none are too serious...did Goodhue go off with a head knock again
-
How many time have we seen that. Support players running too close to the player with the ball and ending up ahead of them.
When I have a look at this game I think the Coaches have to take a lot of the blame.
-
did Hohaia try to knee that ball back instead of going to deck?
-
Hohaia can fuck right off.
That is u10 shit trying to offload like that while smothered in opposition players.
Simply no awareness, there wasn’t even anyone there to try to pass to.
No arms, off the ball, where is the YC?
-
longest 2nd half ever...
just stop it, stop it now!

He sure did. Fucking cool aye?
-
@J77 I'm gonna go with NO.
-
No yellow, are you serious?
-
-
@J77 then his run from deep and pass to no one...he really is stifling things at the moment, that and the handling of half our team
-
Sums us up right there.
Deb with a break but no one within a bloody mile to take advantage.
Good try in the corner.
-
hahaha, Ian JOnes, HOhaia been one of our best???
For me, Matiu, Caird, LEvien, Roberts-Te Nana, Te Whata-Colley can all hold thier heads high.
-
Levien has been one positive IMO.
Has a good pass, he looks to have given Deb a bit more time since coming on by just clearing the damn thing without taking a couple of steps first...
Been threatening with the ball in hand too.
-
@taniwharugby because Magpies
-
@Gunner Nock has a very good pass but he is too hesitant.
-
This is crisis time for this team. They have to work out how to get across the advantage line with rushing defences without losing or giving away ball, so that that they can clean out and go again.
So while we might lack some class, to me this is all about our Coaches.
-
@taniwharugby yes that’s my point...

Coach him. He is a talented player. We don’t have many.
-
@kev passing deep to Hohaia 10m behind the gainline aint the way to do it!!
-
@taniwharugby agree. This team is disorganised. They look slower in everything they do - players getting off the ground and getting back into the game is so important.
-
Gregory is very much like Ranger in his younger days, rocks and diamonds...and often when chasing a game, trying too much and making the simplest of errors.
They also need to put Gregory somewhere, and leave him there.
Gonna be a long week for the boys...be big ask to get back up from pretty much a hundred points being put past them in 2 weeks.
Assuming fitness of a few, my starting lineup would be:
Te Whata-Colley, OLsen, Isi
Caird, Goodhue
McNamara, Matiiu, Matich
Levien, J-Deb
Gregory, Hyland
Leilua, Rae, TuaPJA, Wright, Straker (although he is a starting prop, not an impact one) Sweetman, Nock, Faiane, Roberts- Te Nana
Bench Nock to make him work for his spot.
-
@taniwharugby so much work to do whatever team starts.
-
-
@Duluth you deserve a ban for posting that!
