Smith will be laughing to the bank with a 70 million guarantee.
Kirk Cousins will be available now though. Looking at his recent interview he wants a team with a chance of win, good receivers and a good line. (not asking for much then...). Jags might be the best fit on those criteria. Will he take less money to be at a better team?
I can see the Jets, Browns and Bills getting into a bidding war for him. Jets and Browns have early draft picks though so might be more inclined to go that route than throw what will be a massive deal at Cousins
Redskins have basically dumped him though, and surely that will make others nervous. They have the best view in the league and thought Smith was better value. What do they know?
WSH are a dumpster fire, I'm not sure they know anything. If Smith has 70M guaranteed good on him for taking that deal. But I remember what he was like in his early years in a rudderless 49ers team; I know he has improved greatly, but it's gonna suck playing for a shit team again. All he can do is bite his lip and remember

@cyclops I'm picking Cousins will sign with Jacksonville and challenge Bortles for the starting position. He's already made a ton of money thanks to Washington franchising him for the past few seasons.
NY Jets will draft a QB but keep Josh McCown as their starter for next season.
NY Giants will make a play for Case Keenum since his offensive co-ordinator is now head coach.
Minnesota have a strange crush on Teddy Bridgewater so he will probably be their starter next season.
Denver will get Eli Manning because of the good ol' boy club but it could work.
Arizona will probably end up with a Sam Bradford or Tyrod Taylor as their short-term answer.
I can see Miami selling the bank and acquiring Nick Foles only to see him fail.
Cleveland will draft and play some poor kid who will end up being a bust through no fault of his own. -
@sneakdefreak what about KC?
-
@canefan Their young QB Patrick Mahomes will be starter.
-
There are no guarantees in the NFL (look at Carolina) but JAX could be scary good with a half decent QB. A top FA wanting to go to JAX? Unheard of a couple of years ago
-
Update: In Alex Smith trade, Chiefs will receive third-round pick And CB Kendall Fuller.

It's a dump off. Other teams would have offered more but the Chiefs probably wanted Smith out of the AFC.
-
@sneakdefreak Fuller is claiming on twitter he isn't the one being traded but multiple sources are confirming he is player being traded. Redskins players are tweeting out their anger. This is crazy.

Appears Washington didn't inform him or his agent.

Brady wins MVP (3rd in his career)
Last time the MVP won the Superbowl was back in 99 iirc.. Kurt Warner I think.. Matty Ice almost did it last year..Eagles have a huge shot here.. I would go even far as to call them favourites..
I wonder what the odds are? I wouldn't mind putting a lazy 100$ on them considering some people see the Pats as favourites because of Brady.. -

Yeah, but the Pats have this nasty habit of just ... winning.

That is the problem. The moment you say no NFL team has ever done that, the Pats go and do it.
-
I've just put a bit on the Eagles at $2.70 but I'm not confident of that paying off.
Fuck Brady
-
The Pats really have faced an all star QB lineup this playoffs....Mariota, Bortles, Foles....
-
What time is Kick-off NZT
-
So who's 'sick' and watching the Superbowl?
-
What a hit. Could be a game changer if Cooks is out, although Brady has shown he can live without a key offensive player.
-
Very ugly drive for the Pats there.
Brady with those Liaki Moli hands.
-
Eagles playing well at the moment. Foles playing with the freedom of a guy who's playing with house money. You can never sleep on NE though, Philly need to keep playing
-
NE come up with a fortuitous INT on the 3 yard line. The Eagles RB is carving up at the moment
-
Foles is a better wide receiver than Brady.
-
sensational play call by the Eagles on 4th down. Executed to perfection. Awesome.

Awesome play call. Great execution. Loved it
-
Doug Pederson is such an impressive play caller. Top 3 in the league, alongside Shanahan and McVay.
-
Uh oh... Brady looks to have rediscovered Gronk
-
It's just all depressingly fucking predictable
-
Foles throws another TD to delay the inevitable
-
Brady answers, defence becoming optional in the second half
-
Looking a bit like college football out there. Both teams are getting down the field fairly easily.
Loads of wide open receivers. The OCs are outdoing the DCs in this game.

haha, Eagles take NE's failed QB flea flicker thing and turn it around and ram it right back up their arses.
Brady not exactly nimble out there, he runs like those giant red clogs on his feet were loaned from Little Orphan Annie. As well as her calipers under his socks.
Great game so far though.
still, all a bit futile really. Everyone knows whats coming. Darth and The New England Crusaders.
I guess I know what if feels like to be a Cantabrian when supporting the Pats.
-
Another gutsy call on 4th and 1 Foles gets another 1st down. Heading towards squeaky bum time
-
Whatever the result, Nick Foles' performances in this postseason might see him net a decent contract from a team in need of a starting QB
-
Even if the Eagles score here, Brady will get one more shot.

He's in the same boat as Keenum. You'd need some big balls to give these two good money.
Ryan Fitzpatrick also had that one really good year out of nowhere for the Jets a couple of years ago, but returned back to himself the next season.
