Barbarians are back on top after disposing of the struggling South Island, SunJags 2nd after a hard-fought win over Canes Gold, Blues B 3rd after thrashing Canes Black. Canes Gold and BOP Chiefs fighting over 4th after Chiefs took down Blues A (their 7th loss out of 7 - trouble in the camp there as Justin77 failed to show).
For once there was a genuine upset with the Sunwolves victory (only picked by Pauncefote, FarNthHayden & Rico) and although the Stormers win wasn't so much of an upset, only 8 people picked it. Dogmeat was one of them and he had 5 maximums in all to score 57 and lead all scorers, 4 clear of FarNthHayden.

Upset wins for the Rebels and the Lions caught most of us out so nobody picked 7/7, Picking 6/7 were Dogmeat, Stockcar86, FarNthHayden, Sportboy, Hooroo, Corkscrew. The category picks for top and lowest scorer were picked by the majority so an easy 10 points to be collected. Hooroo topped all scorers with a very good 63.
Barbarian has extended his lead at the top to 24 with Winger having a bad week. Joan and Mary up to 2nd and Dogmeat in 3rd after 2 excellent weeks. 2nd to 25th is only a spread of 30 points so still a chance for many to make a challenge.
The SunJags are back on top level on points with Blues B who beat the Barbarians who drop to 3rd. BOP Chiefs hold the final playoff spot with both Canes teams still in with a good chance. South Island and Blues A should maybe start planning for 2018, South Island played with just 4 after Phooey got lost on the way to the ground.

The results are in - nobody picked 8 because of the draw and nobody picked 7 because there was no love at all for the Kings. But nearly everyone picked 6 with just a few dissenters.
Blues B were top scorers with an impressive 51 and take over at the top, the BOP Chiefs had one of the lowest scores of 44 but were luckily playing the worst scorers, the SunJags who managed 43 - the Chiefs are into 2nd. Blues A broke their duck with a win over the 7th placed South Island and Canes Gold and Barbarians played out a 47 all draw. Still 6 teams with a chance of the play-offs.
Barbarian keeps his big lead - 23 points - but there is a large group massing behind him with 2nd to 7th separated by just 7 points. Winger back up to 2nd after top scoring for the weekend.

Guys, unless I'm mistaken game 8 should read Brumbies v Blues. Hopefully KP will investigate and carry out the necessary repairs and maintenance if he comes to the same conclusion as me.
