Yes the unwrittten rule is tip all games prior to the first game as you should pick highest/lowest scorer before any games is played. I allow a tip to be changed if you realise you've cocked up badly (for example picking the Steamers to lose 17+ when obviously you meant win 17+) but otherwise, the less work I have to do the better!

Or vice versa in the case of newcomer Victor A (Magpie_in_aus?) who has BoP 17+ but Taranaki for the highest scorer in the round. Talk about covering your bets!
-

Getting close to kick off time and at the time of writing the allegiance declarations look to be about

Northland five entries - one more would ne nice

Nth Harbour = three entries - still need at least two and preferably three more

Auckland = three entries - still need at least two and preferably three more

Waikato = three entries - still need at least two and preferably three more

Bay of Plenty = five entries - one more would be ideal

Hawkes Bay = four entries - one more will get a starting lineup but two more would be perfect

Wairarapa-Bush = six entries for the defending champs

Wellington = a full squad has been assembled

Sth Island = looks to be four so a couple more would do nicely

Still a few regulars to arrive but if you are out there tossing up whether to take part or not then please give it a go to ensure all teams have a playable number and to stop amalgmations or the draft being required.
-

Here are the provisional teams - will be revisited if we get more entries. Players marked in bold have started with 10 for the Harbour win. So it looks like Harbour-Auckland is the first leader of the comp.

BOP - sportboy midge Donsteppa bayimports KP

Counties-Waikato - Crucial mikedogz Hooroo Unite Adam Bowen

Harbour-Auckland - Virgil DK JK Dogmeat Tim NZZP

Hawke's Bay - Stockcar86 Victor A Hurrycanes Higgins Stargazer

Northland - Farnthhayden Gunner Kev TR Justin77

South Island - Phooey Corkscrew ACT Crusader Broughie Richie

Bush - Buck Waynes World Plastered Peni Triple T Langakali Victor

Wellington - Cactus Jack Dingo Hydro Allstar Winger Chaz

Joan and Mary and African Monkey still to join a team - dependent on who else joins.
-

I don't believe it - Bay Imports has crawled out of the woodwork! Could this be a great omen???

A good omen for someone I am sure, hopefully us.. havent seen any rugby for a while though, so will be relying on dumb luck rather than normal luck ..
-

31 so if I had extended the leaderboard just one more point (like they used to do with Tiger when the leaderboard would be stretched to include him if possible - when he was still OK I mean!)

We're collectively backing Otago and Ta$man this afternoon 75-80%
-

First week is over and Broughie has stormed into a 10 point lead on the back of picking all 7 results and Canterbury to be top scorers. Matching him for 7 results was Tim who didn't so well with the margins and is in 4th meaning that 2nd and 3rd are with Dogmeat and Victor. Picking only 3 results were Crucial, Sportboy, FarNthHayden, Waynes World, Number 10, NZZP, Hooroo, and Adam Bowen.

The team scores were strange with the 4 teams who topped 40 points playing each other which was unlucky for South Island and Wellington as the Bush and Harbour-Auckland triumphed and lead the table. Wins for Hawke's Bay and BOP over poor Counties-Waikato and Northland teams.

The website is up to date including Week 2 and 3 tipping forms - in week 3 the Wednesday games start so good to stay a week ahead to avoid forgetting.

FFS now I know why my score was so much lower, I changed a margin 2mins after sending in original tips and for some reason picked Auckland rather than Canterbury 9 to 16 which wasn't the game I was changing! Pure typo as picked Canterbury in virtual and TAB.......
-
KiwiPie still don't know if I'm in a team or not. Not a space for going it alone 😂😂
-

Not long to go now before he first match in the second round kicks off so for those that haven't already dealt to it please ive somethought to sending your tips in. Hopefully Crucial will be awake in time to get his sent in from so far away (not sure how far he is behind in hours) and Adam Bowen both for the Counties-Waikato combination manage to get in on time, the same could be said for Number 10!

Still need one more to complete a full lineup for Northland so come on you Northland supporters now is the time to answer the call of duty!

http://www.eglobal.co.nz/tsfnpc16/tsf.htm

Good luck with your tips.
-

Almost time for the coin toss and there are still a few waiting to factor any last minute changes into the equation. Little more than half an hour until the referee calls both teams out onto the field and the Counties-Waikato guys are still waiting awaiting Adam Bowen and Mikedogz to cast their tips into the ballot box whilst AllStar (Wellington) is adopting unusual tactics in having tipped week three whilst keeping his powder dry until the last minute before submitting tips for round two with Northland still holding their breath for someone like Chiefy or stevenharris to come out of the woods to make up their full roster.

Final call please if you want to be in for the first game http://www.eglobal.co.nz/tsfnpc16/tsf.htm but all is not lost as you can still come in from the second game onward. Probably get the bonus of an away 17+ for the Otago v Wgtn game as compensation and thats a decent possibility........................
-
Thanks KiwiPie South Island it is.
-

3 games in and here are the latest scores - there are a couple of tippers missing but everyone is playing with a full team of 5. The majority went against Otago and nobody picked them 17+. Pretty much everyone picked Manawatu and Auckland and many were spot on with the margin.
