OK. This is how it will work (until I shift the goalposts)
If you want to see your province in this comp you will need to start a thread and propose a team.
Whoever starts the thread gets to decide a final team to put up based on the feedback they receive.
We will run this part until we are looking like a good input (maybe a week?) then I will do a draw and set up polls for everyone to decide the winner of each game. Format of comp to be confirmed.Anyone that has played for your province is eligible. If you want the derision of including a one season player who mainly played elsewhere try it.
If a player is 'selected' in more than one team they will be judged on representative caps.Bring it on.
new thread or just in the one you started?
I ended up putting headings in place anyway to help the lazy.
If you want to add another team feel free just use the title format that Duluth suggested to help keep things clean -

I assume a player is judged on his form while playing for your province e.g. Jonah doesn't demonstrate his CM form if chosen by Harbour for him he was essentially a high profile water boy.
A player can only play in one team. Province caps decides where if double selected

Why are you rewarding the poachers?

Because otherwise you would try and claim Bruce Robertson despite him playing 80 times for CM and none for HB

Nah, you managed to poach him before he played for us (we should have bloody capped him at high school) so he wouldn't make the HB team for this anyway.

@Crucial we could claim him too given he lives up here and had been part of Northland Rugby set up for years
Yeah Nah!

To make it more interesting why not make it that the players original province has first choice? So if Manawatu wants to select Cullen, tough luck Wellington.

I guess it would also help with the talent stacking in Super Franchise location teams where players were 'enticed' to play at.
Seeing as how most have taken the title literally, despite the idea that you can include older players (but need to justify how they would go), and because of whinging about poaching I'm making these changes/clarifications.
**NPC era players only.
Deciding factor is first province.**
You can still try and claim a player that played with you as second union. It is only if first union also claims them that you will lose out.

I guess you'll be wanting Beaver back?
Waikato can select Jackson if required.
I didn't think of that (Tui Billboard )
I thought Waikato would claim Jacko as hometown ref.

Wouldn't it be tough luck on the Poo if Horowhenua Kapiti claim him?

At least this has enabled some to talk some rugby bullshit for a change. The Fern was turning into a reddit sub group for a while.
Fucking Covid
Christ. I've ended up collecting poultry. Wife is organising getting geese now.
I suppose turkeys are next, she just hasn't thought of it yet. Christmas and the end of 2020 aren't that far away I suppose. Sigh.
A Heartland 15 would actually be bloody good if we went back a bit before NPC.

@taniwharugby Actually there are turkeys around but not on my land, that I have seen. Heaps of pheasants. Maybe I should get a range rover, tweed jacket and a shotgun....
