Supermarkets are absolutely mental. Just took me ten mins to get out the damn carpark, and I wasn't even going to the supermarket!
Did you have an old man moment and get yourself all discombobulated?? Meant to go to petrol station and ended up at Supermarket?
Have a sit down and a cup of tea
Quite possibly. It's a shared carpark with other shops, visit more cities cowpoke
Out west?
Yep, Hobsonville and the wife said Lincoln Rd was worse.
I'll report back on Matamata New World when I go this evening.
I hope I don't get lost in the carpark....
Self isolating is certainly a lot easier when only 100 people live in a town.

Was wondering if it was Westgate, we were there and Kumeu in the weekend. Was packed then too

The 8 new cases had all returned from overseas travel. That's the common factor here.
I wonder if the next step is to test everyone arriving at the international airports, but the MoH say their limit is 1000 tests per day.
They either have to increase capacity at the border, or ship all of the overflow up to Whenuapai and keep them until they can test them

What will Whenuapai do with all the extra? There's not a tonne of barracks available. Less now that Hobby is gone.

Nah put them in Wellington city and then guard Victoria tunnel, in 6 months see who is left.

Definitely felt weird today to arrive at international airport, with all the plans ready to self iso for 2 weeks, but there is this weird interim period where you're allowed to cruise around the airport - rent a car, chat to customs, engage with the nurses. Shit, you could have grabbed coffee and a lamington if you were so inclined.
But the second you leave the airport, that's it for social contact for 14 days 🤷♂️

A comment about the effect on airline travel at the moment. A family friend just came back from the UK via Hong Kong. On the London to HK leg he was the only person in premium economy and there were 2 people in business. About 30 in economy on the flight so no problems with social distancing.

I see they have listed some flight details of the new infections. Looks like one was likely on my brothers flight. Thing is I think there have been very few if any airplane infections, apparently hospital grade aircon? Dunno for sure but they aren't like those bloody plague ships.

You would have to be pretty unlucky, touch the same surface as the infected person (assuming they aren't overtly sick and sneezing) then put your fingers in your mouth without washing or sanitizing

The thing that I struggle with is that I woke with a mildly sore throat yesterday morning and wondered if I should go to work (Sometimes snoring can give me a sore throat)
By middle of the day, no sore throat but one dry cough piqued my interest but that was also one off.
Went to Gym this morning for PT and did the best workout yet. So energy levels are excellent. Still have a annoyance in throat today but it is not sore.
Basically, I can't tell within myself if I am hyper-noticing what I would never notice before??
You are mate. I do the same thing every day. And due to the marathon training I'm smashing all fitness levels out of the park.
Yet, I wake up most nights to either cough or with a slightly sore throat and wonder if I should get out of bed or not.
