@Hooroo Your no show the week before meant you were seeded to play the top scorer from that week. Ironically, he was a no show so you won a titanic contest 12-4. (Waynes World was the other no show and seeded to play Mikedogz who was 2nd - Mikedogz was a no show and WW won 11-4!) FYI Richie always tips!

As always, it's better to be lucky than good

Match reports etc
In the teams comp, Blues B made it 4 from 4, pipping Canes Black by 2 thanks to 62 by Dogmeat and every other counting score over 50. Hurrycanes led the Canes scoring with 61.
Blues A remain in 2nd, scoring 60 in the process which could well be the highest score all season. 3 scores over 60 for J77, JK and Virgil meant a thrashing for the South Island as @Stag failed to tip and 3 of the counting scores were below 50 (Corkscrew the shining light with 62).
Barbarians squeezed out Canes Gold to move up to 3rd, consistency all round with all 6 over 50 points and the high score of 67 for Rico#1 with Triple T also over 60. Winger scored 60 but it was not quite enough.
Finally the SunJags moved up to 4th with a narrow win over the BOP Chiefs. 62 for Barbarian was the best with KP's 60 the best BOP Chiefs score.
Overall, Plastered Peni holds the lead, 6 ahead of DK with Hurrycanes, Corkscrew and Smudge rounding out the top 5.

The pressure is on KP this week, does he count the Highlanders v Crusaders as a nil nil draw or will the game be removed from points calculations...................................
The big issues aye Higgins

OK here's how the scoring was worked out. Chiefs v Hurricanes a draw so no points awarded. Highlanders v Crusaders cancelled so no points awarded. No points for category picks as not all games played. So your points total is determined from the other 4 games.

Is that how we scored draws in the last? Always thought the margins either side of the result got the part points as usual?
Ah well, same for everyone at least
Yep as my spreadsheet formula ability isn't up to computing it!

Belated report from the weekend
With very few points on offer, it was important to pick all the 4 remaining correctly for a good score. DK, Gunner and Unite were the only ones to pick 4/4, DK and Unite sharing top score of 35. This took DK into a 10 point lead at the top and Gunner up into 5th.
3 Blues B players in the top 5 and this is reflected in the teams comp where they are still 5 wins from 5 after winning their derby with Blues A. They now have a 5 point lead with Blues A still in 2nd spot despite the defeat.
There were 2 draws, Barbarians sharing the points with Canes Black and Canes Gold drawing with the SunJags. That leaves Barbarians and SunJags still in the top 4 but with not much of a gap to 5th and 6th.
Finally BOP Chiefs had a welcome win thanks to Unite and South Island are marooned at the bottom of the table with just a single victory.
In the Cup, Hooroo continued his charmed run, joined by Waynes World who had a no show from Justin77. Also through are Virgil, Winger, Dogmeat, Corkscrew and Rico#1 with Caprice and Joan and Mary (that's just 2 players) having a sudden death replay this coming weekend to see who plays Dogmeat in the quarter-finals.
Finally Paj is the best result picker so far, 75% of his selections have been correct. Best at margins are DK and Corkscrew. All the info is at https://www.thesilverfern.com/competition-stats/
