Jacinda has done well - positive press in our news and all over my social media - including from my business oriented colleagues - each of whom were impressed with her, well, kiwiness.
It’s a strange thing, but she seems to have caught people’s attention in a harmless, yet positive way. I still think she’s a lightweight, but she seems to have made every post a winner on this trip.
I want to add that I am a right leaning liberal (voted ACT and National only) who isn’t in the market to change, but I think it’s fair to admit she’s been pretty good at using whatever options are available to her in this trip.

And on this trip she’s achieved .....what exactly?
Just as well baby Neve was there.

See how far you get without tasting a bit of vomit in your mouth

@jegga a hint of scarcasm perhaps?
Tge last couple of paras are telling.
You’re right , I couldn’t face another article about “baby Neve at the UN !!!!!” And didn’t make it all the way through.
I should have known better because Garner was one of the few to call Turei on her bullshit right from the start last year and mock labour for refusing to say “ labour led coalition “.
Nice dig at Taika Cohen at the end too . -

Nice dig at Taika Cohen at the end too .The tone in the comments was predominantly negative towards starbrite

No mention of how empty the general assembly was when starbrite spoke?
Were there any actual ‘big’ world leaders in the room when she had her amazing speech?Pffft . Mere details .
Here’s here speech it’s waffle calculated to cause the minimum offense. She mentions our greatest pm Fraser who was there at the founding of the UN , he was dead against the major powers having a veto . He was right.

I reckon she's done OK, it's all just PR bullshit in the end, but it's pretty hard to take her seriously given the shitshow that is unfolding at home. Her government is starting to have a pretty big negative impact on people here, with Winston bloody Peters of all people calling most of the shots.

Back to domestic politics and a year of the seemingly unending sleaze and failure you’d normally associate with a third term government .
There was a justice summit recently that achieved nothing on any value , check what you paid for though . Check out in particular what they paid thd two mcs for a couple of days workhttps://www.nzherald.co.nz/politics/news/article.cfm?c_id=280&objectid=12132960
This is pretty awful too.

@no-quarter IMHO Jacinda behaves more like a member of the royal family than a prime minister. She is undeniably charismatic, and is good with the yarning to folks and photo ops, but she has no ability to control her own party, and blind Freddie can see Winston runs rings around her when it comes to negotiations etc.

Which is hilarious considering how the left ranted about “ brand key” or called him “ smile and wave “ .

It’s fascinating watching the coverage she gets. It’s wildly sexist, about what a great Mum she is and based on her looks and personality.
How about treating her like man and talk about her ability to do the job? Cause that part of the job isn’t going so well.

She benefits from the very sexism that the SJWs rail about

@kirwan It was really interesting reading the comments under the Colbert clip of their interview. All these Americans going awwwwww she's so nice, can we have her etc etc. She wouldn't last 2 fucking seconds in that cesspit. Jacinda has been pretty much treated with kid gloves from the minute she took over, and having a baby was a masterstroke in be NICE to the smiley new mum crap.
I would be horrified in any job if the best anyone could say about me was oh, Mokey is a great mum. Because that is not what I'm being paid by my employer to do. And the so-called 'progressive' media seem to not understand that by concentrating solely on her smiles and her baby rather than her leadership and policy, they are absolutely being sexist fuckwads.
That baby is still the lead in so many stories should be super concerning for her.

She would do fine. She is left wing.
