The land grab as the US sees it.
None of their fucking business.

I'm still curious as to what SA would do

Depends on what you mean by USA "sorting it out". Do you mean a military intervention because what else is that cheeto looking retard going to do, slap some tariffs on them?

I was thinking either/or (tariffs or physical intervention, which would be very unlikely)

Some tariffs won't do shit. The power rests with a very small subset of South African populace and the only thing that's changed is their tan. Poor blacks are still having a shit time of it.
Any intervention simply looks like what it really is; unwarranted intervention in a sovereign democracy. But this would look worse because it's against black people who have finally got to determine their own future.

I am guessing you were against the anti apartheid action other countries took?
I am guessing he will cut aid and restrict travel. -

I am just trying to understand where you are coming from.
You for against unwarranted intervention in sovereign democracies? Ir is it ok to steal land from citizens and allow murder as long as you are black? You defining wether it is ok or not based on skin color? -

You for against unwarranted intervention in sovereign democracies?I thought I made it clear I was against unwarranted intervention. I don't know how I could have made that clearer.

No.

No.

Nope. I am ascertained your position. It isnt a very good one.

I'm comfortable with it. It's obviously more nuanced than you can understand. Appropriation of property without compensation is bad. Massively disproportionate murder rate, bad. Still none of the USA's business, which is clearly the most pressing issue facing Trump now that Cohen has taken a plea bargain.

I dont think it is very nuanced at all.
And it is entirely the US business who they give money to and who they allow into their country. -

Move the goal posts more. The context of my discussion with @Hooroo was clear; "sorting it out". If you think applying some minor economic pain ($471 million in foreign aid in 2017) or more stringent migration controls on South Africans will in any way resolve it, I'd say you were delusional.

Nope, just trying to understand how far you are prepared to go in your live and let live attitude. -
@Hooroo @antipodean
Turns out that if Trump decides that SA is not respecting property rights... which is hardly up for debate. Then it breeches AGOA, which means significant trade issues for SA as they will be kicked out. -

I would prefer we stand with the farmers. However, that is unlikely. Hence, why should NZ be in any way involved (or even complicit in due to lack of honesty) with South Africa, given the blatant racist murders that have been going on there for quite a long time now, and escalating?
