I'd read a few reports on the inauguration speech and then finally watched the speech in full. The anti Trump bias is pretty incredible for main stream media. I get that they don't like him, neither do I but if you go too much out on a limb to discredit him and you get found out you are full of shit then they're only going to hurt themselves.

The women's march looks like a giant hissy fit.
The Democrats haven't been quite this upset since the Republicans freed their slaves.
That's a great line.

@Stockcar86 Can someone clarify what I'm looking at there?

this is an accurate view of the crowd.....and on that, from what I have read, he had 700k to 900k, which compares favourably to Clinto and Bush, but obviously lesss than Obama. Big deal, he had over 30m watching, wheras Obama had 20m. Washington D C is overwhelmingly democrat, as well.
the video....

Obama 38m in '09. Reagan 41m in '81.
These numbers have to be viewed with a great deal of scepticism given there was no way they could know.

Trump would have been better off taking the piss out of the media for reporting such nonsense. Instead he added to the nonsense of it.
Who gives a flying fuck who got bigger crowds??? Petty crap. -
The most concerning thing about the past two days is just how divided people are over there now. The left wing narrative has built up a massive amount of resentment among a lot of people, particularly the young who are studying at the very left-leaning institutions, who now believe that all white males are racist/sexist and the only reason any of them are successful is because they have oppressed other people. It's a dangerous narrative that is mostly detached from reality, and is starting to cause real issues with Trump painted as the epitome of it by left wing media outlets and the like.
I'm not sure what the way forward is right now, it looks like the States is in for a tumultuous 2017.
