Dunno about that actually as I've shared a lot of bets with mates and had a few copy me with larger amounts of cash and get shitty when they fall over. People need to be prepared to take the good with the bad and I'd much rather people do their own home work when it comes to betting for that reason <br><br>
Btw, most of my bets are fairly low risk and therefore lower returns. There's nothing super special in there usually but will often take advantage of instances where I don't think the TAB have priced it right eg raiders vs sharks last night. All over that both outright and points start. -

anyone understands that betting on sports is a risk, if your mates don't then they are idiots<br><br>
I'm just saying it's harder to believe someone is betting successfully when all you hear about is their wins after the fact. -
My mate has a good line for that <br><br>
"Hey Greg got any tips?"<br><br>
"No, you look like a blamer" -
Haha I'm going to use that. A good mate of mine at work and I always talk through our weeks tips as both take a very similar approach to our sports betting. He was overall leader in nrl virtual tipping a couple weeks back but I think number 3 now. Needless to say, he too gets asked for a lot of tips

<p>Update to finish the weekend and picked up nice return on tigers over cowboys who aren't much chop without Thurston. Didnt bet on warriors as find it very hard to be either on them or against them as they've been so inconsistent over the years its just not worth the risk!</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Not interested in penrith vs roosters tomorrow as roosters look to be on the improve and could get get up. Not sure enough to put $ on it though.</p> -
<p>If anyone is interested in following a good punter for free on facebook and or twitter or his $1 app check out bad man tipster. Been pretty much only does football games does a $25 to $1000 challenge that takes about 11 bets over a couple of weeks. Hit 2/2 challegnes in July. Just hit his first one this month. (This isn't spam just if you are interested) Think his page has about 60k followers as there are a couple of fakes. My suggestions if based in aussie find one with a good sign up bonus max if out if you can and don't touch your bet only the bonus (read fine print as many make you bet yours first) . </p>

I still use the TAB, mainly because it was convenient in NZ to be able to shoot down and get money out of my account etc. As someone mentioned earlier, the odds are worse than the overseas sites because they are required to give a certain percentage of money waged on a given sport to the national governing body of that sport. NZ American football gets about 90k a year from them, so it's not chump change. <br><br>
The TAB are a bit shit and their live betting is really clunky. If some sort of scoring event hapoens, the system basically shits itself and takes 5 minutes before the bookies give out live odds again. Compare that to bet365 which is seamless, and has an enormous amount of options and sports, whereas the TAB runs a limited amount. <br><br>
I still use the TAB over here because it's one of the few sports betting sites not blocked by the government. I had an account with sportsbet Australia and they closed my account because I was using it in Thailand and it was against their rules. I now can't get my $200 back until I have had a whole heap of shit signed by a notary, so I'll either have to pay through the nose to do it in BKK or wait til my next trip home and sort it out. <br><br>
I'd recommend paddypower as a good overseas agency. They also do novelty beds which are always worth a punt - elections, royal baby named, snow in London at christmas. You can basically bet on anything through them. They also refund money on events where the outcome has been decided by shitty refereeing decisions (The Wales v Aussie 2011 RWC game, that Packers NFL game with the dubious last minute touchdown etc) -
<p>Well that run came to an abrupt halt!</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Did a bit of betting on olympic events this week, mainly 7s plus a bit of hockey and hardly anything has come off - most of it at odds in the 1.20 to 1.50 range too. Betting on 7s is worse than T20.....like a lottery with very limited time for a team to turn around from a costly mistake.</p> -

<p>Just don't try and win with Paddy Power, or any European bookie in general as you won't be allowed to. And most of the Aussie ones are now owned by the Euros so x2.</p> -
<p>If you have consistant wins and keep upping your stake they will cut you off. My friend was doing it with lay betting on horses and live sport betting. When he first did it with lay horse betting he went and chucked multiple bets of $100 each on he quickly learnt they tell you that your betting is to efficent for their business cash you out and send you packing. From what he said you need to keep under a certain bet amount to stay under the radar. </p>
<p> </p>
<p>I assume thats what they are saying</p> -

<p>As a non gambler, this is what annoys me about the gambling industry - it should be legislated that if you can win fairly against them then they have to take your bets. </p> -

<p>With most of the European bookies/"Aussie" bookies owned by Europeans, if you show any potential to win they'll cut you off. It doesn't even have to be a big winning streak, sometimes just a few smart bets in a row. Especially if you're using a new account.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>You either get your bets reduced to maximum $1 stakes or more likely a nice email telling you they're closing your account for "commercial reasons".</p>
<p> </p>
<p>If you're utterly clueless and losing your house/your companies money they'll send you nice gifts, some free bets and generally milk you senseless.</p> -

Been following Badman for a bit and he's fairly shit house to be fair. I guess it's tough when people expect a tip out of you every day but some of them are just woeful and look bad tips from the outset. Good to follow for a laugh though as a lot of people take his advice as gospel and then rage when the bet falls over

@Baxymoron think Argies are paying $4 H2H at the TAB too....
-
I should have mentioned I meant Aus TAB. H2H they are $3.75.
I guess that means you could get handicap of +11.5 or +12.5 from NZ TAB for the Argies. I'm wondering if the Wallaby faithfuls will have a late plunge and push the odds out a bit more. I'm doubting they are that confident (or bet in numbers big enough to affect the odds).
A mate who is pretty good with the Rugbil Oigue just msgd me to say he has just plopped $100 on the Broncos @ $2.86 because Winterstein and Lowe are out for the Cowboys. Caveat emptor...

Would like to know what the respective travel schedules are coming off this game. Traditionally the ABs have been very flat for outings where they immediately travel to the republic - but with a 14 day gap I can't imagine they are going right away.
The Boks surely are though?
