@Bovidae Who needs Jordie Barrett at the Canes when Dre Taylor is available.
Blast from the past. I remember thinking he was a FAB at one point.

@Bovidae he won't be back this season. Ta$man had an offer on the table for Cameron Suafoa of Auckland to come down and cover lock this M10 season with an option for a full contract next season. Auckland 'convinced' him to stay.
A shame he didn't seem to step up for the MAB. Doesn't bode well for his future. I had high hopes for him but he's still relatively young so will probably improve.

Taleni Seu still on the long road to recovery from the same injury that has struck down Brodie Retallick
The latest injury will unfortunately keep Seu out of Waikato’s campaign for the year – which is a major disappointment, given it will be his first season with the province.“It’s coming along well,” Seu said of his shoulder at the recent Mitre 10 Cup launch.
“It’s been about four months. I had surgery two months after I’d done it. I’ll be back playing in December.

It looks like Junior Laloifi didn't make the cut. One of the few standouts for the Turbos last year. If he's not injured, another province who needs a winger/fullback should pick him up.

@mikey07 pretty sure he signed with some Italian club in the Pro 14 comp?
Yes, he signed with Zebre, but according to the media release of his signing as well as of the opening of the 2019/2020 Pro14 season, he's still under contract with Manawatu and will only arrive in Italy after the Mitre 10 Cup.
It's a bit strange; he was still playing club rugby finals in Manawatu two weeks ago. Maybe he asked for an early release from Manawatu?
