The Hurricanes have won their past seven matches against the Highlanders, including an emphatic 47-12 victory on their last visit to Dunedin in 2024, a fixture best remembered for the season-ending knee injury halfback Cam Roigard suffered.
Just looking at the two sides from that night. It is amazing how different they are to the squads lining up tonight.
Highlanders
Lowe at 13, Gilbert 12, Patchell in there, Sanders at 8, Max Hicks at lock. Only players starting in the same positions they were in last year are Nareki, Holland and the two props.
While for the Canes it is Love, Naholo, Roigard, Delany and Numia. Are the guys who remain.
Some are in similar roles such as Withy at seven not six, and Lakai swapping loosie roles.

Don't have to look past this line "Canes have the better front row (overall)." (Redbeard TM).
Then again I am jinx central. -

Not a dig at you mate, but I really can't understand what difference the last 7 games the teams have played comes into the reckoning of a future game.
I know a lot do it, including tv pundits etc, just don't understand why. -
Canes in to $1.67 favorites while the highlanders have gone out to $2.10 after being $1.87 a piece all week. Game on

I know a lot do it, including tv pundits etc, just don't understand why.Because it shows a trend that the Landers have struggled against the Canes for the last wee while. And as a Canes fan it’s nice to see those stats. 😁
But to an extent you’re right, previous games don’t matter, what matters is now and I’m sure tonight’s game is going to be another belter between these two sides. Shame I can’t watch it live, will have to watch the replay later.
