Surely has to be niggles. I guess we’ll see when the Hurricanes Hunters team is named.
If they are in there we may as well kiss the season goodbye.

From Stuff:
Like their round one opponents, the Hurricanes have major injury concerns with centre Billy Proctor the latest high-profile withdrawal. One of four co-captains named this week, Proctor was a late scratching with what was described as a minor leg injury.

Fair enough if it’s niggles. Let’s hope that’s the case with Banks and Higgins. They are way too good not to make this team.

I’m thinking a comfortable win for the Saders here. Canes got too much quality out of the squad. More ABs in red and black should count for something.
And it would, if those ABs had earned their jersey....alas...
Plus, Penney.

Both teams have decent forward packs.
But the Canes back line is very cobbled together. Could actually be pretty dangerous if they fire, but some inexperience in key positions... As long as Roigard takes control and stays on the field it is going to be very interesting. -

Having Enari and Hohepa on the bench is simply meh compared to what we had last year.
Not having our four most important players aside from Roigard in Aumua, Lomax, Proctor and Love is going to hurt.

Hurricanes Hunters team to play the curtain raiser. No Riley Higgins which suggests he’s got a minor niggle as well. Thank goodness.

You think it would get mentioned if he had a minor niggle. I hope so too, It's got me beat why he not on bench at least , I do know there were rumours of perhaps an attitude problem a couple of years back, and I hope this is not got anything to do with him missing out.

I've had confirmation that him and Proctor sustained minor niggles this week in training and the Canes don't want to risk them for this match. If it was a final they would have been available but best to keep them on ice at this stage of the season instead of making any injuries worse. Both of them are expected to be available next week against the Drua.
