Black Caps v Sri Lanka Test Series

I think Southee, Santner and the coach should go permanently.
Southee has been great but he's done enough now.
Need fresh blood and new enthusiasm.
I assume Southee is hanging around trying to get to 400 test wickets?

If Mitch would've scored these runs in the first match, we'd have won.
Good on him for earning some redemption, but Matt Henry has to take his place.
It's like Danny Morrison's last stand!
If he hadn’t sucked arse as a test bowler we might have kept them under 450.
Mitch needs to go.
Jason Gillespie got a double ton in his last test match
If Santner gets a double ton I would give him another game.

only 150 to go, with one partner right?

If we’d batted like this in the first innings and bowled a shitload better we’d be on top
jesus fuck, this sounds like 'if Scarlett Johanssen something something'. If my aunt had balls, she'd be my uncle (until the trans activists showed up).
reality is we're limited. We need a few things to go our way. Santner is currently looking like Bradman V1.1 after a shedload of shitty innings. Fucked it I know, I've been on the garage projet, but I think we're going to get smoked in India.

Santner's innings also puts Conway's 'return to form' into some perspective.
Easy to score runs when the result is a foregone conclusion.

Yep, much of the second innings batting card has a vibe of aiming to score quick runs before they inevitably misread one.

Off the tap ?
Sorry back to the cricket.
What changes will Stead make given he has a squad of only 15.
I’ve already picked my team, anyone else want to have a crack ?

Probably good news. Latham will be a relatively passive captain from what it has looked like in the past, but Southee is far from an automatic selection now.

So, who is the new skipper?
Latham
Should have been promoted in the first place

Preach, Dylan Cleaver
The Black Caps have, in the space of the decade, gone from one of the most innovative and nimble high-performance programmes in the world, to one that is utterly predictable. It is also one that is unsheltered and vulnerable to the global winds of change in cricket.

Stead dined out on the best group of talent we've ever had, and did little to identify and prepare the next group to take over. Probably not helped by administration and high performance talent development in NZC. Sounds like another code I know...
