Have Otago decided they don’t care or something? Been terrible in the second half
Canterbury have just been better.
Yup. They are definitely the better team in the second half. The only team that has come out the sheds by the looks of things. Disappointing from Otago, was the same last week.

Canterbury has been like that all year shit first half great 2nd half.

Otago were absolutely woeful in that second half, was the exact same last week so hope this isn’t becoming a trend. Need a rocket up their ass for that, incredibly disappointing.
Well done Canterbury, played well in the second half and clearly wanted it more.

I was waiting for the Finn Hurley brain fart game. Didn’t take long

This Otago team needs some decent, hard nosed leadership. Not sure where they’re going to find it

You’ve been waiting all season for that one then haven’t you. If that’s his ‘brain fart’ game, I’ll take it. He was the least of our concerns this afternoon. He was the one of the few guys out there actually having a crack trying to spark something so I’m not going to knock the guy for 1 or 2 errors.
-
@Landers92 he’s a liability in games where someone needs to step up. His ceiling is NPC and I’m happy to wait a few seasons to be proven right.

A 21 year old in his second year of NPC has hit his ceiling? Wow, I've heard it all now. No one here has mentioned how far his career will go. I’m just saying I’m not going to knock the guy for actually having a crack when hardly anyone else in the team was.

Nah his ceiling isn’t just the NPC. When I saw Hurley play against the Canes in Welly earlier this year I was pleasantly surprised, he was one of the best Landers that day with his ability to cover the back-field defensively. He was also pretty dangerous on the counter, definitely a player that punches above his weight.

i was one of the first to say at the start of the season i felt he has serious limitations....also one of the first to say he'd done a lot to impress and offset his limitations this year
such a big chip on your shoulder is weird...happy to wait years to be proven right about something?....i didn;t think someone that small could bully someone....but was he your highschool bully or something?

A lot of players still learning their craft. Millsr had his best game on attack, did some of the basics he normally does well poorly. Failed a couple of times when kicking for the line, and made a couple of average errors. Yip, Hurley made a couple of errors. He was giving it a go though. His growth, generally has been great this year. If we are to pick one of Creighton of Whaanga at centre and the other on the wing. It should probably be the Aussie on the wing. He looks to have the more natural feel for playing on the wing. In terms of 'hard nosed leadership', brought Coltman back. Most of the team is quite young, there continues to be good development in the lads. Probably the most disappointing position is halfback, neither Arscott or Hastie seem to be pushing on. The Wellington game will be an interesting one. Especially with Wellington having an upcoming Ranfurly Shield challenge, will they rest players, and focus on the Sunday game. Will we do the same. Do Faleafaga, Tucker, Aho, Pledger, Leslie, and Rangitutia come in to give the guys a spell.
