Omar at hooker, Talea on the wing and AN Other in 23. I prolly won't watch anymore of this guy's videos, but thanks!
To save anyone else him waffling on about Ellis park, he starts the selection waffle at 3 minutes and carries on for another 6.
Apparently Ellis Park is “ABsolutely amazing”….it’s a “Mecca of a stadium”
Yeah, this twit is irritating the fuck out of me. Time to switch off

Sounding like Ethan has inside running at 6: https://www.stuff.co.nz/sport/350326964/all-blacks-ethan-blackadder-answer-blindside-flanker

The only worthwhile thing out of that Knowler article was

3 and a half more days of outright guesswork to go then aye?
-
@Bovidae my spies tell me that Williams was starting at loosehead with Taylor at hooker. Newell on the tighthead side. Captain at lock, not sure who the other lock was though. Blackadder at 6,7 and possibly even 8.
Oh yeah, almost forgot, Havili running the cutter.

@ACT-Crusader
It's a one-note joke, but it's a good one. -

Get the fuck out of here!

"Jacobson, like Blackadder, can play all three positions in the back row but when it comes to rugged, all-out venom in defence he is shaded by Blackadder."
Venom? Does EB bite them or spit on them? Or maybe he has a fetching, wall-climbing costume?
-
must have been a dude who looks like Jacobson, but isn't Jacobson, continually folding fluffybunnies for the Chiefs.
(this is not to be taken as an endorsement for the selection of Jacobson)
-
fuck, now you made me read the "article" and i am dumber for it.
The little wank over Frizzell was the first giveaway that this was going to be complete garbage.
Anyone else look at that AB starting team he picked and thought "gee that's a bit ordinary" (miss you John Drake)? Perofeta at the back. 3 openside-sized players in the loosies. The hope that this is the year Patty T turns Super form in to test form? The hope that Cody Taylor is immediately up to speed. A quarter of the run on side hasn't played any rugby for like 5 weeks?
-
the idea of "can play" in multiple positions is starting to get my goat, anyone can play anywhere...the question is how well they play in different positions....do we think that people like Blackadder and Jacobson are the 2nd or 3rd best players in all three positions....if not, then they should stop going on about it

Jack of all trades, master of none

A particular worry of mine. Not so worried about size, DP isn't small. I guess the lineout could be a concern.

Scotty and either Pat/Va'ai
then a back three of Ardie+his hair, DP and Ethan.
That is an invitation to attack our lineout. Codie's the best thrower of our three hookers, but the whole lineout looks a bit short.

Ardie doesn't attack the rucks that much, so relies on a hard working, effective 6 and 7s so he can perform. DP has that covered at 7, but while EB is busy, he's not very effective. So if he starts, not only does our lineout suffer, it will drag Ardie into the rucks to compensate and blunt his point of difference.
Another season of an unbalanced backrow probably.

I've never ever ever ever ever (saying it as Andre 3000 from Outkast in my head) thought of Blackadder as a rugged all out venom defender.
If you asked me which loose forwards are punishing hitters Blackadder would never have had entered my thought process.
Do even the Cantabs on here think that's one of his strengths?
