Hurricanes 2025

@BerhamporeNinja agreed - but he's not confirmed as signed though is he?
-
Great signing for the Hurricanes, Kade Banks locked up for 2025.
He's been a star of the NPC this year, he will slot onto the right wing nicely.
-
@Canes4life An excellent like for like replacement for Moorby. I suspected he was off somewhere as he did not appear on a list of resignings that were posted on Blues Facebook a while back.

Yeah he definitely looks to have a bright future. Knows his way to the try line and has twinkle toes to boot.
I’ve been pretty happy with all the signings Laidlaw has made so far, keep them coming.
-
@Canes4life Also equally comfy at Fullback and can even kick goals I think. I was hoping he would stay with the Blues as he offers something different from the 'power athlete' backs that we tend to produce. Now we wonder who replaces him (maybe Tito- Harris or start Taele on the wing to learn the level before moving him infield when Heem retires. Unless they see Spencer as an outside back?). We will soon see.

Really keen to see which 10(s) we've locked up.
We need two tens. Cameron because he's injured, and someone to replace Morgan.

Harkin (big future imo) and someone like Cruden would be my dream scenario.
Hopefully Harkin and another experienced 10. Not sure if Cruden has it in him to do another season of Super. I'm not saying that because I think he can't, more from what he's said recently.
There are also rumours Cashmore is in the Canes sights so we shall see.
I don't see McLutchie as an option, he's never really set the house on fire and is always hot and cold at NPC level.
-
@Canes4life yea, highly unlikely. Be nice for him to return to where it started!

This funny comment from a Canes fan on the Blues Facebook re: the Banks signing -
"Fair swap. You guys are still paying off your Beauden Barrett debt to us so we’ll take this as another instalment 😂"

So big rumours that Perofeta has penned a contract with the Canes next year.
Not a bad first XV shaping up (give or take a few contestable positions)
- Numia
- Aumua
- Lomax
- Gallagher
- Walker-Leawere
- Delany
- Lakai
- Iose
- Roigard
- Perofeta
- Naholo
- Higgins
- Proctor
- Banks
- Love

Let's see if Perofeta can be the real deal. Smart move on his part

Comp-winning team. So if they don't win it next season, then there's little more than wind coming out of the capital.

A source in the ‘Canes doesn’t believe the Perofeta yarn is accurate but we’ll see.

The CEO said the other day they were finalising a contract with someone so I guess we just have to wait and see.

It would make sense though; Perofeta has to fight for the position with Plummer in Auckland. The way is clear for him to walk in and claim first shot in Wellington, with a team that is near on as good or close as the Blues, wlth a superior halfback to feed off
