2024 Super Rugby jerseys

@Canes4life At least the training jersey has a little bit of the provinces on the cuffs of the sleeves.
The jerseys aren't bad at all! I never buy SR gear, but that away jersey is looking good.

@frugby it seems a little thin to suggest that these teams are claiming a completely different identity just by changing the shade of the colour they use, the HIghlanders arent separating themselves from Otago/southland just by having different shades of blue and maroon, they are 100% trying to have a connection to their regions by keeping these colour combos that are similar to their home unions
I'm not suggesting that at all, the Highlanders quite literally talk of the connections of the colours... but to suggest that teams need to have x colours to represent x teams is a little bit silly.
Would you rather the Highlanders play a game in Invercargill or have half the jersey maroon?

The Blues should have had Caleb posing in that jersey.
I think they picked Rieko because he was born in 1997.
I thought they could have had a photo with Eroni, who wore that styled-jersey himself.

@Yeetyaah i much prefer the round neck to the one the other teams have....would prefer a folder over collar like so many teams had at the world cup (not the AB's one) but not a fan of...what do we call it, v-neck pseudo collar
all a bit moot for me as i very much doubt i will pick up one of these jerseys...even the retro one will depend on fit etc, will be interested in supporters gear though

Other thing, is these kits are for 2024 only. Smart money says you don't want to burn all your good ideas in the first year... for example, no idea when heritage round is but if the Highlanders are playing away from home, they may actually bring out a version of the first green shirt, holding back the godly 98-99' jersey for the year after.

I guess we will see. All other four teams marketing as for 2024.
i think thats just how they normally do it, i thought the franchises them selves had been doing 2 yearly cycles for ages..and the 2022 jersey is just the same as the 2023 one

not sure how to reconcile agreeing that they talk about their connections to the colours of the unions...but say
"These teams carry their own identities, even if the colours are similar."
...all some of us were saying was if the teams are claiming the connection to the unions through the colours...would be cool to see some more of it, and maybe more than just the "major" union
and i know people from invercargill that would rather have the maroon jersey than one game a year in invercargill...especially if its only ever someone like the force or rebels and never a big game, to see their connection to team on tv ....but im also wondering why its either or...why not games out of the major centres AND jerseys representing the smaller unions

I'm more so speculating that they may have changed this with the new kit supplier... it might be that Adidas said they'd only do a new bespoke kit every two years.
