@Canes4life I'm not sure what the go on him is these days, but Donaldson has been their best 10 in SR.

Yeah agreed, Donaldson has been good for the Force. One thing that might count against him is not having the opportunity to play finals.

Daly is the utility who can play in most backline positions.

    Freeman too

@Tim yeah I'm mildly surprised there's only 3 10's. An injury midweek could leave them sweating a bit.

There's space in the squad for two more, it was intimated that one was for Owen, but he's just back from injury. So they'll see how he goes, and maybe it'll be him or ford or someone else

Anyone know when the Wallabies are naming their squad? And if so, how many players will be selected.

Based on what I’ve seen this year and an assumption that 34 players will be selected I have picked my Wallabies squad below.

Props: Angus Bell, Allan Alaalatoa, James Slipper, Taniela Tupou, Tom Robertson, Isaac Kailea

Hookers: Billy Pollard, Matt Faessler, Brandon Paenga-Amosa

Locks: Jeremy Williams, Nick Frost, Lukhan Salakaia-Loto, Darcy Swain

Loose forwards: Harry Wilson, Fraser McReight, Carlo Tizzano, Rob Valetini, Rob Leota, Tom Hooper

Halfbacks: Jake Gordon, Tate McDermott, Nic White

First fives: Noah Lolesio, Ben Donaldson, James O’Connor (Lynagh just misses out for me because of O’Connor’s experience and versatility as a bench option).

Centres: Hunter Paisami, Len Ikitau, Joseph Aukuso-Suaalii, Filipo Daugunu

Outside backs: Tom Wright, Andrew Kellaway, Harry Potter, Max Jorgensen, Corey Toole

I'm guessing they'll name the squad after SR final as normal, but have extended training camp from possibles once knocked out

Not a bad group of players. Aussie rugby is starting to look good again..

Yes difficult to take that seriously. You don’t get that many Scots starting in the Scotland team.

This Lolesio injury could answer a lot of questions for Aussie fans. Surely it’s Donaldson, JOC and Lynagh now. If not, do they take a flyer on Creighton from the Tahs? Bit of a fall off from there

Interested to hear, that Lions have to more or less sign of the NZ/PI/Indigenous team that they play against.

Sheehan would be my first choice hooker while James Ryan would not feature in the 23s. I guess Lowe will get Farrell's preference over Van der Merwe.

Not quite sure where to post this, but it is Lions related. One of the finest coaches of all and one of the few players who rose above the shit-storm that was the '77 Lions and left plenty of friends behind in NZ. link here

“I remember when Warren Gatland came on tour with us in 2009, he said early on that he had seen something outside of New Zealand that he never thought he would see. ‘I have seen British and Irish players look at a jersey the way a New Zealand player would look at the All Black jersey.’

If Lolesio is out, surely that’s the three 10s they pick. Is there anyone overseas atm that can get the gig?
