Clan to take this one.
Hope you didn’t put money on that.
Go suck a plop. We'll definitely get you next time.

And why the hell were we throwing it around trying to score again at the end…someone getting bloody injured was a hell of a lot more likely that scoring
For charity, $500 per point was going towards cyclone recovery. Both teams were trying to keep it going for a final try

But could not understand Honey Hireme praising Fakatava. His execution was shoddy all game. Just not hitting his runners and aimless kicking plus some missed tackles. He will improve as he is better than that
Is he better than that though? I am starting to wonder. It seems like he had a purple patch where he looked handy, got injured and looked slow and sloppy when he came back, got injured again, and is looking slow and sloppy once more.
I am hoping the purple patch wasn't the exception.

Also points differential at season's end, can decide ladder posiyion.

@African-Monkey Yeah, he's well behind Weber and Christie at the moment.
And Roigard maybe. Roigard looked a lot more slick and skillful. Long way to go still for him though.
I was surprised how good he was vs Reds but round 3 vs Christie will be a better test

Just watched. Mark Telea fantastic.
Thought Highlanders were combative in forwards though. But could not understand Honey Hireme praising Fakatava. His execution was shoddy all game. Just not hitting his runners and aimless kicking plus some missed tackles. He will improve as he is better than that but Aaron Smith was sorely missed. I thought Hunt did well under lots of pressure but Frizzell was their clear standout.
Christie Beaudie Rieko and Telea were just way too good for Landers backs.Though Blues just looked so much bigger and powerful than the Highlanders. And a lot more skillful. Almost like men against boys
I was surprised the game was so close at HT, Shame as I would prefer 5 strong NZ teams. Any good young player now will avoid the Highlanders. Hard to see how this can be reversed unless NZR give them more money

I guess @Machpants was right.
@SouthernMann Ioane is better than Timu it seems.
The only way is up from here

The worst part of him game has always been his decision making. He has a good physical skills obviously
The quicker ruck speed means the halfback must a decision quicker and the cost for making a bad decision is higher too. On his day, or at a lower level, I'm sure he'll still have good games where he looks spectacular.
-
Ff uncannily reminiscent of Triple T to me. Looked extremely good early in career. Then seemed a little slower at getting into best position and an increased decision making hesitancy reduced his confidence and sharpness.
I do like Cam Roigard as his speed and energy gets him everywhere so quick and buys time for options. -

Yes, he's better than that.
People have short memories. After he came back from injury, last year, it took him a few games to get back, but in the later part of the season he was excellent. Considering he's played so few minutes since the end of the 2022 season and re-injurying himself, it may again take him a few games. His ceiling is way higher than any of his (younger) competitors. -

The charity I can get although is still have rather wed given them $500 rather than risking injury…but the points differential…we were 40 points behind…a hell of a lot more likely the blues were going to score than we were

It went both ways so many times eh, anyone could have scored really and almost did, but didnt.
Enjoyable game to be at. I do like that stadium as you are actually close to the action. A shame the game wasnt close

Poor old Eklund made 7 and missed 6. Riccitelli might look like a donkey but he didn't miss a tackle (according to ESPN).
Fucking Paps - future ABC, with 21 made and one missed, with Choat on the other side making 13, no misses.
Not a great game for Ofa from the look of the stats either, very Owen Franks like.
-
really trying to find some good news...Sean Withy with 18 tackles and only one missed in possibly his second super game, coming off the bench after only a few minutes

Choat was bloody good.
There was some excellent loose forward play this weekend, and not all from the expected names either.

Party at the front and party at the back, he has it all going on.
