“ touch her like Jesus”? Wtf? Nail her hand and feet to a plank , Chuck a crown of thorns on her and stab her with a spear? I’m not a fan to say the least but that going too far.

Julie Burchill at her acerbic best , fair to say she’s not a Branch Ardernian
Ever the polariser, Burchill is pulling no punches and certainly not sitting on any fences.
No doubt, this will be quoted as the "hate" she faced, as opposed to a serious critique of her failings.
True that kids living in cars is up 400%? Wow.
Burchill made a fool of herself last year ranting about Ash Sarkar and lost her defamation case over it. All the same that was an enjoyable read.
Yep , when she became pm there was 51 kids living in cars now the number is apparently 228 . Another 82 people live in tents . But they really taught those greedy landlords a lesson.
Labour is the government of unintended consequences
The sad thing is that unintended or not, almost all of the consequences were foreseeable. There's a constant sense that the government has been wilfully blind to any potential negative fallout as they spoil the overarching narrative. And they were very quick to pick up that the narrative is what carries the votes of a sizeable fraction of our electorate, especially if you can convince the media to peddle it for you.

Yep, if they at least talked to people involved and related industries they would realise this, but instead, they charge ahead, and then the unintended consequences are taking effect.
I have a property investor client, fortunately very low property to debt ratio, but still, they are no longer able to claim tax back on some this, however, if they open thier properties up to social housing, they get incentivised...problem there is, they didnt know that most insurers are not at all keen in having people offer up propertied for social housing, which then goes a step further with transitional and emergency housing that insurers simply do not want a bar of.
Similar thing several years back, although was spearheaded by Peter Dunn when they re-did the Fire Service Legislation, several parties involved proposed better ways to do this, but Peter forged ahead with his way.

I assume the ministries don't help either. Our professional association is constantly ignored by the ministry of health, and this is never so obvious as during the pandemic. They assume to know best but ignored all of the health providers who had to work under the conditions they set

I wonder what would have happened to this cult if she didn’t quit ? I reckon in another 6 months she’d be on a podium on the lawn of government house ranting into a loudspeaker surrounded by the corpses of a couple of hundred of the nations wine mums while she encouraged the ones still standing to finish their poisoned Chardonnay.

They assume to know best
... And don't want to relinquish control. Hence an initial centralized vaccine rollout that ignored GP and other medical facilities.
And the failure to talk to iwi and other ethnic leaders to try and get buy in grossly hampered vaccine uptake. I had to regularly explain to people why we weren't open during the early lockdowns despite being considered emergency services, sort of. And don't get me started on PPE.....
