@Hooroo said in Rough tips and other bets...:
He is out of the industry at the moment going up in the world.
The PR and marketing we have got because of that win has been fantastic.
We got a good plug from industey pundits on TV too which was nice
''Going up in the world'' is a matter of perspective...

@JK
Scratched mate as drew 14 of 14.Park Lane runs tomorrow at Te Rapa. Full brother to Miss Keepsake who won Queensland Oaks.
Taken his sweet time to get to races as a bit weak in the head but it looks as though he knows what the game is about now.
Don't go hard as I have no idea how he will go but had Solomon held in a track gallop the other day (Solomon was carrying 20kg more mind you)

Huge day at Randwick today with day 1 of the campionships. 4 group one races including the Doncaster Mile. It's wet and the track rated a heavy 9 so quite well suited to our Ginger Nuts for the the Aus derby.
Also hoping Russian Revolution can get up in the TJ smith stakes and Le Romain in the Doncaster
Have done a full card of form so that should be more for the arvo
Should be a real good meet

That ride was so un Opie like. He alwasy lets everyone swing wide and follows rather than panicking and swinging wide with the field. Just had too much to do.
We may have three running at Counties on Sunday. Naples - Should go well and is getting talked about a bit so will likely be short. Solomon - Always fights and is always wrth a dabble. May need this race though for fitness. Park Lane -All the talent with no brains. (We call him flea brain at home) Coming first or last would be no surprise.

Sorry mate. Been so busy no time for Fern.
Tattybogler had her first start (Her sire is full brother to Black Caviar.)
She ran a fantastic race 3-5 wide the whole run, second last on turn and rattled home for third.
Meeting was called off after that radce so Solomon didn't get to have a run

@JK also Park Lane at Tauranga tomorrow. fluffybunny of a horse. Beautifully bred and talented as fuck but head of a fucking flea. Weak as piss in the head.
Thing is he will win at some stage but no idea when. $1 each way for fun and be prepared to lose it. But a 'just in case he finally gets it right' bet

No tips for many a long day....
Spring carnival is heating up, Caulfield Cup three weeks from now.
NZ horses leading the charge at the moment for Caulfield Cup especially are
Bonneval
Gingernuts
Jon SnowBonnval super impressive winning last start fresh over a short distance
Gingernuts won at Hastings
Jon Snow very strong win at Moonee Valley last night, tough run early and did it easy in the short straightLove Bonneval at the moment, running against Hartnell in the Underwood on Sunday, think she can win the Caulfield Cup, maybe the Japanese runner Admire Deus is best value at the moment, Bonneval very short for CC @ 6.5
Alamandin last year's Melbourne Cup winner short price in CCup due to conditions, no rehandicap for MC if it wins CC.

Alamandin $5 favourite for the Melbourne Cup, way too short IMO. Look elsewhere, not sure where though.
