Had our two in form batsmen out cheaply but then lost to an out of the blue innings from Bairstow. For sure there were some pies bowled but equally some decent stuff that he just slaughtered. Agree with the second part, but disagree with the first. We are shit and so are you (albeit less so than us). Shit teams do very badly away from home (regardless of opposition) and do quite well at home against other shit teams. We would both lose to Australia and India - home or away - very convincingly.

You may well be right, but what I was trying to say was that performance in itself doesn’t make you a shit team. There were a lot of positives to take from that game until Bairstow took it away from in you in a few overs.

Plan B is Bracewell or Ravindra at 7, Mitchell and Blundell move up one, and Nicholls carries the drinks.
