Tell me again how it’s the people on benefits who are ruining Britain
Rich people not getting taxed are getting benefits.

Five women have given evidence to the Sunday Times and Channel 4’s Dispatches of horrific behaviour by Russell Brand.
He denies any ‘serious criminal behaviour.’
This story will dominate the Uk media landscape for a while.
How about regular criminal behaviour?
He won't be able to claim hilarious criminal behaviour-he hasn't been funny in years.

@MiketheSnow Holy shit that cracked me up! Nice.

Plod are now investigating the accusations. Reports that Brand has been dumped by media companies due to lack of honesty when allegations were made by these women few years ago.
-
I’d love to know why the politicians are getting involved
They’ve got enough to worry about in that department in Westminster which they seem to be doing fuck all about

High sex drive, especially rich or well-known males need to be careful now. Choose a good partner with care and don't give into temptation. Or at least too much. Those that have years back might be stuffed. Especially if they criticize the establishment.

When you realise you need to have a strong word with your PR team.
"On both sleeves of the Arsenal 23/24 Home Shirt, which has had Macron’s name specially printed on the back, are the words of the sponsor: “VISIT RWANDA.” "

You could not make it up
At this rate, Kinnock will look like Churchill in comparison with Starmer

Today, Labour gave three completely different responses when asked whether they'll continue with HS2 beyond Birmingham - yes, no and maybe.
But the real turd in the waterpipe is why neither party will address why a 2/3rds smaller project with an original price tag of £21bn is now costing £110Bn+

Because in the private sector, competing bidders look at the bottom line then add 30%.
In the public sector, competing bidders look at the bottom line then add 250%.

In the private sector they charge the public sector £750m to design HS2 and tell Ministers it will cost £21Bn.
When the government commits to the project and employs the private sector to build HS2, they tell the public sector they inadvertently got their costings wrong and can they have another £80bn.
Nope, can't see why people criticise capitalism either.

We now have schools banning packed lunches & forcing kids, against parent's wishes, to eat meals cooked by an outside supplier to meet the supplier's contractual demands.
And people are losing faith in capitalism and moving towards the Left. Can't think why.
"the head teacher insists the free dinners are excellent and says the policy was brought in because of the need to guarantee a certain number of cooked lunches from the provider."
-
@Victor-Meldrew this is the opposite of capitalism.
Capitalism is 100% about choosing what you pay for.
Socialism is being forced to pay for other people. -
It will be still be seen as rapacious capitalist catering company screwing the school & forcing Mums to feed their kids in cars. Perception, reality and all that.

HS2 was originally intended to link with HS1 (Channel Tunnel) and Heathrow - all included in the £21Bn when it was sold to the government by the rail and construction lobby. They were deemed uneconomic and chopped once the project got the go-ahead
I was heavily involved in HS2 for 3-4 years liaising with them on local issues and the level of gouging was astonishing. One example: they said it would cost £10-15m for a 500m noise barrier for our village. We received quotes from French, Belgium and Spanish companies of between £150-220k based on the same data HS2 was using....
500m of tunnelling? Not enough opportunity to rip-off the taxpayer
