San Antonio is a cool place to visit but bloody hot in the summer. That applies to all of Texas. The Alamo is a must see.
Don’t forget about dem big ol women

Anyone talking about how Rachel get her show cancelled? Hot Mike, said something un-pc apparently.
Apparently said someone got hired as a diversity hire. All a bit stupid really
Sounds like it wasn't even in that context, but you can't talk about that stuff anymore. And Maria Taylor, the subject of the comment, left to front NBC's olympics coverage after ESPN lowballed her in contract negotiations
-
Nichols said to LeBron James' longtime adviser Adam Mendelsohn and James' agent Rich Paul in the recording:
"If you need to give her more things to do because you are feeling pressure about your crappy longtime record on diversity — which, by the way, I know personally from the female side of it — like, go for it. "Just find it somewhere else. You are not going to find it from me or taking my thing away."
The few times I had seen Taylor on shows I thought she was good value.
-
Taking what thing away? Find what from you, Rachel?
Man, the Yanks' general prose leaves a lot to be desired. If they didn't speak in English you'd never think it was English. The amount of times I watch an interview in the major leagues sports world (or, dare I say it, on KUWTK) and the sentences are just a disconnected jumble, is ridiculous. You're left thinking "what the fuck did he or she just say??"

Fucken amen to this. I work in London for an American firm and the clarity is no better in the corporate world.

The Nets are busy accumulating veteran former All-stars. Paul Millsap signed a few days ago, and now...
After retiring with heart concerns five months ago, seven-time All-Star forward LaMarcus Aldridge is returning to the Brooklyn Nets on a one-year, $2.6 million deal, his agent, Jeff Schwartz of Excel Sports, told ESPN on Friday.

And the arms race continues with news that DeAndre Jordan will have his contract bought out by the Pistons and he plans to sign for the Lakers. The lakers are essentially assembling two starting 5s. A good idea when you have lots of players with miles on the clock

Anyone else see that Rachel Nicholls IG post re Cedric Ceballos? He's in ICU on a ventilator with Covid, saying it's kicking his butt. He looks bloody enormous, like he'd make Kendrick Perkins look like Paris Hilton
That even made the news here in Oz. Not great photos and not talking about his weight either.
And I maintain that his dunk comp blindfold was see through.

Ben feels unappreciated after what happened at the end of last season, appears to be intent on taking his talents elsewhere, regardless of the financial cost
No way the 76ers get value for him right now
My most hatiest (TM @Hooroo ) player by a long way. How the heck did he get his contract structured to receive 50% of it by October?!
Also bizarre that he earns $33m in salary, but can play zero games and only get fined a total of $18m - what's he doing to earn the other $15m??!!!
-
@voodoo Ben must have the same agent as Anthony Davis….
Apparently there’s only a few players in the league that have that upfront payment structure. It’s high risk and ridiculous when there is a potential standoff between player and club.

How can you consider yourself to be a top line NBA player when you can't even make jump shots and free throws FFS!!!
-
@canefan I don’t mind the whole jump shot thing as long as it’s compensated with other positive play. It was clear last season he had lost all confidence and giving up open layups and making dumb decisions.
Perhaps all the off court stuff caught up with him.
-
@act-crusader hard to build a play off offense though when guys can sag off him and clog the paint around Embiid, then just hack Simmons whenever he drives. I think if he stays a poor shooter, he has to be able to make >65% at the line to compensate.
Shaq was a terrible FT shooter but at least that didn't stop him attacking. His attempt numbers are outrageous.
Simmons is just a scared little kid now. Too worried about his image I reckon.

Once Rivers and Embiid gave up on him in the media I guess he felt too butthurt to work hard to try and prove them wrong. Rather take his ball somewhere else
