Yeah, came via email offer. I love my son, but not this much...
I'm assuming this is the game that was rescheduled, so it might be a premium for the late notice.
I honestly have no idea what the schedule was to begin with.

Yeah it is that one

Is it sold out yet?

Those that have previously felt the pain of Fozzie have reacted as expected including myself. The selection has all the hallmarks of a confused Chiefs team previously under his control.
I can understand getting both Barretts on the field at the same time. Although the ballsy option would have been keeping Beauden as the super sub. Jordie has been immense playing in that position this year.
I could understand Goodhue at centre but not at 12. I struggle to even understand the rationale behind this one.
Given Cane was going to be captain, I would have had Ardie as a super sub as well. If we were trying to address weaknesses of the World Cup, Sotutu’s size alone would have been a better fit.
Still think we will win by 10+ but shit I think we could have done better

I'm with @voodoo I'm fine with Beauden and Jordie in the back three. They link up well and Beauden will no doubt keep his little brother in position. It's pairing them up with Bridge that is so meh. Rieko and Clarke were my front runners for the 11 jumper with daylight behind them.
You do realise Beaudie left the Hurricanes, so you don’t have to fluff him any more 😎
On this Bridge fella, he’s the real dealz. He’s got the busnizz and what it takes. He will prove you’s guys all wrong
Using zeds to describe him only makes him something that was "rad" in the Eighteez

Pricing for Sydney is outrageous!!!
Is that pre-release? Because they're not on public sale according to Ticketek
Looking at the double-headers for Bankwest - $300 for 2 games of Test Rugby in the best stadium in Sydney sounds alright. They'll sell pending COVID.
Pre sales for those registered with Wobblies travel peeps.
Trying to convince Mrs B that an overnighter to Brissy on 7 Nov is a good idea. But she wants to give all our disposable income to @mariner4life to go visiting Cairns at Christmastime.

On this concept of the team being "safe".
IMO the "safe" team is not necessarly the team that is most likely to win.
Picking a team that is "less likely to lose" is kind of a pussy way out of taking a risk of trying to win, and conversely makes you more likely to lose because you're less likely to win.
That made sense when I thought it through in my head. Think it still does, but I'll leave it to youse guys.
-
@booboo safe as in he's going with players he knows well rather than players actually showing form. Safe in his head but in reality he's picked a team that has some fairly obvious weaknesses.

I’m going to hold judgement until after the game. Even though it’s less fun.
Get the fuck out of here with that shit. Put your balls on the block like the rest of us, makes for far more entertaining post match analysis.
Ha ha. The doomsday prophets who enjoy writing off the selection already. Prefer to give the coach a chance. Only 1 chance mind.

Yeah, I wouldn't consider that midfield and JB on the wing playing it safe. And let's face it, the jury is still very much out on whether RM at 10 BB at 15 can work long-term.

Lets face it Jordie has been very sketchy at test level, no ways Foster was going to leave Beaudies experience on the bench in his first outing. If we see poor decision making from Jordie hes getting pulled quickly, would no surprised to see ALB,Goodhue with Rieko on the wing fairly early in the game.
-
@bayimports on Goodhue, he hasn’t played one game at 13 this year as far as I can remember anyway. Much to my dismay but he has been at 12 all season.
-
I would've put money on Jordan making the 23. At least Sotutu is, here's hoping both players impress when they do get the chance. Ardie and Beaudie should be fighting for their natural positions, not being shoehorned in when they are perfect utility bench players.

We don’t really know though do we. Some these guys have experienced the loss of England but have another albeit disrupted season under their belts.
Some brand new players in the match day 23 and around the squad also can have a positive impact too.
Nothing is safe about this squad in my opinion (whatever that means). It doesn’t even have a “I’m worried about losing” feel to it either.
Bring on the Convicts.
-
@DMX true regarding Jordie, but it looks like he ate Aaron Smith during the off season and the weight not only added confidence but also made more effective tackles and breaks... opinion of course but Jordie looks different this year.
-
@ACT-Crusader sure but based on form at 12 none of us would have picked it, feel sorry for ALB. I think most of us here think he has played his best at 13

I like ALBs game, not as much as @mariner4life but there is something safe about him that is reassuring. But there is something that could be special with a Goodhue / Ioane midfield if both iron out a few issues. A definite work in progress and a risk to boot.

Just reading the caketin isn't sold out, 5000 seats available, first time since 2012 (in wellington )
apparently, people still a bit cautiousTicket prices look stupid when folks can go and watch the game at the pub for the price of a beer.
If there are any unsold seats, I hope they invite some Wellington school kids to attend for free.
