@Kiwiwomble Safe pair of hands? Collins is known for being notoriously shit under the high ball.
ive watched him play for years, for otago boys through to otago, i disagree
He's probably fine at the lower levels. Was a complete failure at Super level. One of the worst selections from Tana.
as i say, beggers cant be choosers, i would prefer McKay or Koroi but as bones has said others think Mckay is even worse and Koroi is still new to the level and got a card in his only game, so i will settle for someone with 60+ NPC caps and 30+ super caps and just hope for a solid game
Well watching that poor northland lad dropping those high balls against us, or making weird defensive decisions, you at least would keep consistant with that part of the game plan if you selected him.
As a bonus you'll get lack of pace from the back with excellent communication.

@Kirwan i get it, you dont like him, you've made that clear
Ive seen him play well so i kind of feel im allowed to not be quite so jaded about it
That's fine, I've seen him play too. Just arguing with your comments about him (on a discussion forum).
He single handedly lost us games, so will always have a special place in Blues fans hearts.

i get it and ive never said the man is a super star, hell, never said he was even my first choice, even named too other people as preferred...so not sure why my stance of "could have been worse" needed to be argued with at all, im just glad gregory isn't there

@Kiwiwomble That's the Fern for you!

@Kirwan was it last year or the year before when he fumbled a high ball and the opposite team scored and cost them the game. Can't remember the opposite team.
Crusaders? That one where he dived for the ball and missed by two metres, but had a nice view of the try?
So many to choose from.

in all fairness, blues fans blaming one player for loosing any games in the decade before this season is a bit rich, not exactly world beaters in general

The point is he stood out as being particular poor amongst that group.

Highlanders starting fullbacks in 2020
McKay (twice)
Collins (this will be his 4th start)
Koroi
GregoryIt seemed they had moved on from Collins but had to revert. The coaches had signalled they were going to go with Hunt before Ioane got injured.
Nehe should be available soon and they'll be tempted to put him at 15

Oh we blamed the CEO (gone), the board (mostly gone), coaches (gone or demoted), selections (of which Collins was an issue) and several other factors (talent scout, for example, also gone).
That's why the Blues turnaround has been so satisfying, seeing the changes made and the obvious improvements.
So Collins as a reason was four/five levels deep in our blame game.
But in a shower of shit, it takes talent to shine.

i hope so, if fit, a genuine class option at the back so we can concentrate on the other issues we have in our backline...like right wing

I hope he gets a good run without injury, he was so good in 2015.
