Felt it the whole way,
god, there really are no societal norms in Palmy are there?
You know, I read what I'd written and thought, hmm, looks a little off, couldn't put my finger on it, thanks for pointing it put to me...

@voodoo nice! I'm testing the calf again today with Bonesetta. Going for a run that is (or attempting to). Tightness seemed to shift further up the calf after Sunday but feels good right now...
Me mate the rugby coach reckons all the guys are using "massage guns" these days. Self-operate on most parts of the body (not that part), up to 20 settings for power and speed, changeable heads etc. He has had calf issues all his life and swears by it.

Bit stuffy today so not the most comfortable 9km but not bad. Time was okay.
Getting old is fucked though. My body is not used to this volume of road running. I'm starting to get sore hips, and my achilles are both very tight.
-
Decent month for me on the rower. Clocked in 190km or so, and even stayed off alcohol the last three days - as soon as L4 disappeared, so did the confinement drinking with my wife
Fit, fat and happy people. Watchign climbing films ... those guys are just nuts, and I could watch them all day.

That's where I found myself too, my groin thing was all about overuse, it tightened 10km into a bloody run FFS. Body just not happy at the ramp up.

Hell yes. That and Dawn Wall are a tremendous back to back watch. Meru is also amazing - nothing like Free Solo, but then nothing is.
Reel Rock series is golden. So many crazy people doing crazy things

I genuinely think that Free Solo is the most amazing thing I've ever seen anyone do. He is a fucking lunatic no doubt, but something in his mannerisms makes it seem so much more unachievable amd awesome - like if he was a brash cocky fucker, it just wouldn't be as cool. But he was so calculating, so needing his mental state to be right. The way he just wakes up one day and goes "yep, today I'm going ".
The footage of him practicing that little traverse that he couldn't get right - just amazing.

@voodoo he features in a heap of Reel Rock films. they are genuinely crazy people
And invariably young.
-
@voodoo I loved that movie. I might have to find the Dawn Wall.
The way the crew couldn't watch him climb really hit home. I mean, we know he's going to make it right, and that he isn't going to fall. But those guys at the time they didn't. They were watching realtime.
Scary shit.

This was one of the most surprising films I've ever seen. I had no interest in it but was staying at a mates and he just switched it on so I kept watching and it was brilliant.
:::
Knowing nothing about it I was on edge the whole time because I thought he may have died at some stage.

amazing film. My wife and I were blown away, and both had 'sweaty palm' moments on the way through. It was literally nerve tingling - well well worth watchign for anyone who's considering it.
