big afternoon of rugby at Okara Park in pretty dire conditions.
But man gotta say that surface is great, 3 games and fans on after each match, held up bloody well!!
Prem Reserve Final: Mid Northern 8 Kamo 6
Kamo will rue taking a penalty kick with 5 on the clock 10m out in front of the posts rather than a scrum, when they had been dominating up front all daySouth Zone Final: MId Western 27 Otamatea 20
MW were up 15-6 as they turned into a strong wind, but hit first after the break to lead 20-6, but was tied up 20-20 inside the last 10.Premier Final: Western Sharks 10 Mid Northern 7
MN will rue many lost opportunities after dominating posession in what seemed like 90% in the first 30 mins, being held up over the line twice and bundled into touch in goal another time.
Game was still tied up at 0-0 after 55 mins before the Sharks scored a well worked try, and then extended it with a penalty to lead 10-0 with 20 to go, but MN werent gonna roll over and scored a nice try of thier own, and then blew a massive opportunity with 5 or so to go when they ran it instead of spinning it to the unmarked player in acres of space. Sharks held on to take thier 1st title as the skies lightened for the first time today. All in all, I thnk the Sharks deserved this, they have been the best side all year, and despite conditions, all 3 games produced some great rugby.
Premier Captains Corey Te Whata-Colley and Jordan Olsen with the pre-match toss...bare feet and work boots!!

Nothing to see here, just some club footy played in beautiful Wellington weather. Someone call a lifeguard. 😂

@canes4life Did you see the penalty kick someone did in those conditions was incredible.
