Crows.
Got nothin
Been in freefall since the 2017 GF , and they were great that year,
Blindfolding them , driving around in the team bus, listening to the richmond team song is one of the most bizzare methods ive ever heard to deal with a loss,
Cant help but think some of those young men were scarred for life, you couldnt blame them for wanting a fresh start somewhere else.
You can see the amateur psychology perspective; "this'll make them hate the Tigers and seek redemption". Young player outcome; "well the only difference if I moved to the Tigers is I'd have a pennant."
Then when the story broke in the media, tex the captain sent aggressive texts to all the players saying whoever leaked that story is going to cop it if he finds out who did it .
Then the story of the text got leaked too , playing group was fractured .
-
Tex is a flog and s bit of a shit player too.

@shark seen it described as simultaneously being the most Melbourne win ever, and the most Carlton loss ever.
32-0 up in the first v Carlton and then to only score another 20 points and win by 1 is a tough way to do it.
A fair summation.
-
Lions hump West coast
The ladder looks a little weird with Richmond, West coast and GWS only having 1 win each
-
Gold Coast Suns murdering Adelaide...

I didn't think it was possible to only have 10 at 3/4 time

Wonky season so far. Is it possible that there is only one genuinely shit team, and that's Adelaide?
The usual easybeats (Carlton, Melbourne, Gold Coast, St Kilda) might have a bit of go about them and could all compete for the 8.
The outbreak of Corona is pretty worrying as it throws a spanner into the travel arrangements. No team is going to want to go to Vic, and no other state will be keen to host Vic sides.

really strange, Port top? Crows bottom and just awful. Carlton win in Geelong? Sydney somehow 2-1? Richmond, GWS and West Coast battling?
I know the Suns' run won't last, they are young and will get tired, but i am loving seeing them up and about given the amount of shit they cop despite not being much worse than a couple of "big" Melbourne clubs.

My wife is a mad Carlton fan so I've watched a fair bit of them the last few years.
They are clearly a better side this year than they have been in a long while IMO. Some good young on-ballers in Walsh and Martin have come on, they've found a decent ruckman (Kreuzer is good but made of glass), and their back three of Docherty, Weitering and Jones is looking really good.
Eddie Betts coming back is also big, he was huge against Geelong and seems to be the heart and soul of the team.
Slightly unlucky in they still could finish 15th given the quality of the comp, although they have a stroke of luck with Essendon coming up. Looks like they might have their whole backline in quarantine for the game.

Whoa. One of those "usual easybeats" made a preliminary final in 2018 and were within a game of the eight the year prior. And it wasn't that long ago the Saints were a premier team.

Fair enough. How did they go in 2019?
I was referring to the easybeats generally of the past decade. Considering the Saints last made finals in 2011 I think it's fair to say they are in that category.

Hey hey our 10 year rebuild is right on track.

if the shoe fits...
in the interest of balance, the Lions are only 12 months from the same category.

In COVID language, they had flatten the curve to an average of 14th with one spike

its interesting ,
the long break seems to have worked out better for some, hasnt worked out for richmond that is for sure , extra long break as premiers with their feet up feeling content , have come back looking like they cant be fucked
its wide open thats for sure , we could end up with a premier that no one expected

nah, it'll even out later.
Gold Coast were 3-1 to start last year weren't they?

True, but they weren't putting 50 on anyone.
The class of West Coast, GWS, Geelong and Richmond will come out in the end but it wouldn't shock me if the premiership was won by Collingwood, Brisbane or Port.

Not sure , but this is a shorter season ,so there is less time
Im not liking what ive seen from richmond so far , they lack run and work rate ,attitude looks poor, the things you associate with them in recent times are missing
Im tipping a st kilda team full of run and enthusiasm , to run them off their feet
