Bledisloe #2

@Steven-Harris Bridges’s work rate shining through.
-
Biggest plus for me for me is how we are playing with 14 men. No headless-chicken stuff, just calmly upped our game.
-
when the forwards are doing the business, then it gives the backs that extra time and makes them look better.
Still some untidy patches, that period of penalties was shit, but at least there seems to be a bit of urgency out there.

There was once a time when Ardie was a punchline on here. Now he's probably the best player in the country.
Will be a star at the World Cup ,
My prediction

Oz are a rabble this week. Getting done by that 7 man scrum.
Franks can't make the WC squad at this rate.
Read's defence more potent this week.
More about brains - if Sio had dropped that scrum be could easily have drawn a Penalty. Laulala got a bit lower than him and was in a bad position given the previous penalty he'd given

Also: if Foley had missed either of those penalties, Brumbies fans would be calling for his head
Very costly misses

@Mokey he was excellent last week as well...!
Been excellent since Sam C was out injured. Simply outstanding at Twickenham last November.

@jegga Yeah - currently riding a shitty little chinese 150cc motorbike around Mongolia.
Last week, I lucked out with a hotel room where I got Setanta.
This week - deliberately made today's ride a short one, checked into the most "classy" (relatively, for Mongolia) looking hotel in town... no Setanta. That sounds very cool .
My brother in law used to like it there, there’s a species of trout that grows to four feet long he used to fly fish for.
He reckoned the alcohol consumption amongst the locals was on a par with Russians too .
It's kinda a "stop-gap" between two other trips - the London-Beijing I bragged about in the de-facto Motorbike thread (and need to write a more recent write-up on, probably starting an actual biker thread), and I'm about to head to North Korea after this. Won't be posting from there, I suspect, sorry @Victor-Meldrew .
But yeah - I've met a few people here for the fishing, and seen a few fly-fishers about.
The alcohol consumption - it's weird, it seems like drinking vodka and airag used to be a standard thing for any semi-social occasion... but nowadays, there's heaps of guys drinking beer in the afternoon/evening - not handling it well... and maybe a bit of a backlash from the non-drunkards. -
Looking like bsmith May miss like mils in 2011 ,
Selected in the squad but miss the top 23
