New Zealand v Bangladesh Test #2

I've not been impressed with Henry in the short bits I've seen of him bowl. He seems to struggle with being accurate enough at this level, he may bowl the odd jaffa but he also seems to leak a lot of runs. Interested in the views of others who are actually able to watch a whole day ....

@KiwiPie a constant message from all the commentators I've listened too is that he thrives on a lot of overs. So they seem to be putting down his average form to limited overs. As opposed to a guy like Wagner that literally hits the ground running. Said that ask any first class NZ player about Henry and they'd say his accuracy and consistency is a big part of his game. But you contrast that with his BC performances and you are spot on, he leaks runs and doesn't seem that accurate.
Still backing him for our ODI squad in English conditions. But also hope he'll get enough overs to really be firing.

To be fair he’s taken twice as many wickets in this test then all out spinners (whose spot he’s taken) combined all summer. That’s based on 2 x 0 which I guess technically is 0..

Do you reckon the have a template at cricinfo
Wagner to x, short of a length...

Probably. But I don't think the commentator knows what "short of a length" actually is.
short of length around off, gets Mahmudullah jumping
short of length and Mahmudullah backs away, pulls it in front of square, a top edge
That sounds like "short", not "Short of a length" which is neither drivable nor cuttabe/pullable (but isn't threatening the stumps).

Wagner and Boult finish off the Bang Bros. BCs win the series 2-0 with one test left to go. Williamson and Watling will probably both be rested for the last one with Young and Blundell most likely to come in.
This series is just batting and bowling practice....

Did a quick count, pretty sure this test was over in 200 overs, 7 sessions.

It's quite nice to just absolutely dominate a team ranked below us. It's not that long since they were our peers, to now expect to dominate them, and then actually follow that up with performance, shows exactly where we are.

Spinners never get to bowl which counts against them a little. I reckon my looping leggies could snaffle a couple of Bangles (after conceding 60 runs in 3 overs of course).

I've really been disappointed in the Bangles, they seem to have gone back to how they were when they first came into test cricket. They miss Shakib al Hasan as he is a class player with both bat and ball.
Quiz question to fill up the remainder of the day - list all of the NZ batsmen to have made a test hundred since the start of 2010. There are 18 in total.
I'll give you Kane, Taylor, Latham, Watling, Nicholls - 13 to go.

McCullum, Blundell....
