@Gunner wasn't it RTS?
You talking about the penalty or the try?
Definitely Lawton for penalty and Paasi the try, well the ones I was talking about anyway 😉

Warriors get the win against a Penrith Panthers side that did everything to lose. Penrith made such bad errors it was actually spectacular to watch.
Positives:
-
The Warriors forwards did their job tonight, smashing everything wearing an opposition jersey, something they haven't done much of this season. Paasi (what a run!), Burr, Harris, Papali'i, Sao were standout performers and Adam Blair will be not playing that many games this season (he'll still crack 300 games at some point).
-
Issac Luke responded well after being dropped for poor form while Kodi Nikorima is fitting in with the team. Both made dummyhalf darts which led to the first two tries for the Warriors, breaking any confidence the Panthers had. Nikorima's try in the second half was a beauty, leaving several Panthers in his wake, but don't get so fucking close to the deadball line!
-
The Luke/Lawton hooker combo is something the Warriors need to rely on this season. Luke still has game but it's obvious he is no longer an 80 minute player while Lawton is evolving into the Warriors starting hooker for 2020.
Negatives:
- Herbert/Hiku is our best centre combo for 2019 but Hiku went down with a upper body injury (head knock?) in the second half. That's a negative because Hiku has been in good form but it also means Kearney could go back to this guy:
Pick Adam Keighran or Taane Milne instead if Hiku is out.
- Penrith had errors which were Benny Hill-esque. Poor passes either going over the head of team-mates or to a Warrior instead, several muck ups in the play the ball and this:
-
The boy the Panthers have as their fullback will never be a star because he has that look after a mistake which suggests he's shitting himself. Better to go with Dallin Watene-Zelezniak just so he doesn't run into teammates.
-
I listened to the Matty Johns podcast and they gave great insight into the Panthers especially with James Maloney and how he wears out his welcome. Maloney was trying to gee up his men but they didn't seem to be listening. Maybe he should bugger off to Superleague.

Saw that yesterday - him and Johnny Lomax made a good one/two in the front row for the Kiwis in the 1990s. RIP big fella.

@canefan really sad to hear about his sister. But you are spot on, he seems like top drawer people aye. Could see him becoming a big influence (if he isn't already) at the club. Have we snapped him up on a longer term contract yet?
-
@Paekakboyz No idea. But we should if he keeps this up. He sounds like a high character guy, and a fighter
-
He's keeping Kata out of the side, i already fucking love him
-
Looks like we got a good one
Not to nag but that story was on NRL.com about two-three weeks ago. I think I need to go into that NZ sport journalism is so shite thread.... I may be sometime.
-
@Paekakboyz He's on a cheap two-year deal but Beale and Kata will most likely get released this off-season (if not mid-season) and that means an upgraded contract for Herbert.
-
In other news Dallin Watene-Zelezniak is asking for a release from Penrith. Boy, things are going from bad to worse there although DWZ has been terrible, especially running into his fullback last game against the Warriors. I don't have him in my Kiwis side to face Tonga, other players to pick from.
-
@Sneakdefreak I've seen that replay at least 6 times and every time he looks like he's sees his FB and still goes ahead with it.
-
@raznomore It was so bad that it's probably the best highlight of the season because of how bad it was. Dylan Edwards is not a good player (he was terrible through-out the game) but that was all Watene-Zelezniak's fault.

The 3 part doco celebrating 25years of the Warriors starts tonight. They dug up Ian Robson too.
