NRL 2019

If I was a coach, I'd honestly be taking scrums seriously. Fuck the gentlemens rules around it. Sport is a business at this level.

Second controversial call for the night, this time, against the Roosters with Cooper Cronk being sinbinned for a borderline professional foul. Perhaps a square-up from the start of the game...
8-8. 30min to go. -
More controversy as the refs call 6 more, the Raiders hot on attack, take the first tackle of the new set, and they then call hand over. Roosters go and score on next set of 6.
-
What a stuff up. One ref signals 6 again and Raiders play to that but then are called for a change over.
Shocker.

FUCKING STITCH UP!!!

You know Uncle Nick has the NRL in his back pocket!!! I'm still waiting for the league to strip the Roosters of their 2004 title (against our Warriors) for proven salary cap infringements

Sticky is going to blow the joint up.

Might be the highlight of the day

2 tries off 2 shit calls hurts
But their defense was incredible, so well done the Roosters. Back to back.

It’s a bit dumb that Jack has to go up and give a speech after winning the Clive Churchill in a losing grand final.
-
Very intense game. Refereeing has been shite all season and the final didnt let us down.
That 6 more tackles call and then cancellation of his call (which can be seen clearly in the footage) is pretty dam bizarre. Feel sorry for the raiders there but hell if they had any sting in attack they would have scored earlier anyway. Roosters defence was massive. Players looked shot and then when they got the opportunity they took it.

Just caught the finish of the State Championship final between Burleigh and Newton.
Jets down by 6 and they score in the corner with 4-5 minutes to go. Conversion missed. Bears up by 2.
90 seconds to go and Jets got on attack in their attacking 10m and they turn it over.
Bears march it down and then kick for territory. Jets get ball back in their defensive half.
With seconds remaining a little chip kick over the defensive line and a lucky bounce and Jets go in for the try and the siren goes right after the Jets dot down for the try
Heartbreak for the Bears as they dominated for 75 minutes!

Watched a bit of the 9s yesterday.
Kangaroos beat the Kiwis fairly comfortably. The girls also lost their game to the Aussies as well.
Upset of the day was the Cook Islands smashing Tonga, 30 - 7.
Samoa also beat Fiji pretty easily too. I expected Fiji to do a bit better in this form of the game, but Samoa were very clinical.
-
@Dice I think the Kiwis will be better with the game under their belt.
I took immense pleasure from that Cooks v Tonga game, I feel about the Tonga league team like I feel about Ireland rugby ... they used to likeable, they got some success and a combo of their fans and team made them unlikeable.
I've been pissing off some leaguies on a league forum because I told them if it wasn't for frequenting that forum and despite living in Sydney I wouldn't have known it was on, I only knew mid week that it was this weekend. The marketing has been average. A friend of mine was given 10 corporate tickets for each day ... but there's no way I'm going today with the rugby that's on.
