@JC it’s Neil Patrick Harris isn’t it?
He does a bloody convincing ocker accent.
James Gemmell. Used to be on TV3 sport
Pretty sure he played a few games for Auckland. Not just a non playing talking head.
I always thought he was that guy on the instant kiwi ad, where the kids are sitting the exam and then he's late, the supervisor tells him off then he says "Do you even know who I am" and eats the supervisor's apple.

That bloke is now the lead actor in The Originals.

Come Oct 26, fans of the team who hosts the M10 Cup final (let's say Ta$man based on the point table) will need to decide if they want to support their team or watch a likely RWC SF featuring the ABs. If the kickoff times have been adjusted for daylight savings then the final won't finish until after the SF starts (9 pm NZT). Obviously with streaming you could watch the SF delayed but it won't be live.
There are also other clashes with the NZ pool games against Namibia and Italy, the Argentina-England pool game and QF1 (overlapping with SF4 of the M10 Cup). Decisions, decisions if you want to attend the M10 Cup games.

@chimoaus seeing what the ARs do at all levels presently makes you question what thier role is....sometimes I wonder if they are there to look for foul play and thats about it
How hard is it to watch for forward passes and farken offsides???
-
@taniwharugby said in 2019 Rugby World Cup:
@canefan quite hard my guess is!
Someone has to look at their KPIs
-
@canefan maybe get one to focus on forward passes, the other offside, and then they get a bonus for every one they get right in the post match reveiw, but lose a part of thier match fee for everyone they miss too, as well as losing some for ones they call that are wrong haha.
-
@Bovidae Yeah - they'll have no flexibility to change the RWC semifinal time - but, if they don't change the M10 final time they will get justifiably torched by every media commentator who has ever said they don't care about the NPC.
It sort of beggars belief that this sort of clash wouldn't be the first thing you'd look at when doing the scheduling.

They should've moved some of the round robin games too
I doubt 7:30pm games are rating well against RWC matches
Midday, 2pm & 4pm would make more sense for Saturdays than 2:30, 5pm & 7:30pm. Currently the last two matches clash completely with the RWC.
Earlier matches would minimise the overlap -
The reason I posted this was that a friend informed me that the Waikato-Taranaki game next Sunday (4:35 pm start) clashes with the NZ-Namibia game. So late M10 games on Sat and Sun will clash with early games at the RWC. Matches played the following weekend will be the same, including the Wellington-Waikato game with the NZ-Italy test.
