NBA season 2018/19

So #KawhiWatch is reaching fever pitch. After meeting the Clips & Laks in LA, he met with the Raps and jumped on a plane to Toronto.
Not since that OJ Simpson road trip across LA has there been a more watched SUV going along a highway moment.
Jalen Rose from ESPN thinks Kawhi will sign a two-year deal with the Raps which means he gets more money on his next deal when he's 30.

@antipodean Where did you find footage of my Sunday team?

Breaking news, Kawhai Leonard and Paul George will unite for the LA Clippers after OKC traded PG13 for a load of draft picks and make weights. LA just got more crowded
Wow.... I expect Westbrook will also now be traded.
They are a lottery team for the foreseeable future. -

They are a lottery team for the foreseeable future. Not sure, I don't think so. The ESPN article says PG13 asked for a trade and their hand was forced. Clearly he thinks playing with Leonard will be more fun and successful than playing with Russ. Or he simply wants to go home to LA after all. Statistically he is a very good player but I haven't seen him come up big in the playoffs ever. I don't know enough about the rest of the clippers roster except that they were good enough to make the playoffs last season and they took a game off the GSW

My favourite player plays for Clippers, Sweet Lou Williams. They resigned him and Harrell is still there.
They were the highest scoring duo off the bench this season and Lou won 6th Man (again). Stoked about this news.

The Lakers will spend their money on mid level guys, which I think makes better sense anyway. They have Jared Dudley, despite his lack of finals production they just signed Danny Green to a 2 year deal. I reckon they are trying to get Andre Iguodala. They need a point guard, Patrick Beverly is one name going around but I don't know his status at the Clips. If they can get those two guys they will be more rounded and all 3 would improve LALs defense and take the load off Bron

Great news for the NBA.
The West is going to be an absolute bloodbath next season.
Lakers take a huge L here. Their constant drama and soap opera antics lose out.
@canefan Beverly has already agreed to stay with Clippers.
This is a win for well run franchises.

Clippers shoved all their chips in to ensure they won the Kawhi signing. OKC do really well out of that deal.
Big win for the secondary teams in the NBA's two main markets. Shows the Knicks and Lakers don't have the pull they use to have back in the 20th century.
My Raptors won the championship and that was all they wanted from Kawhi. Still a playoff team in the East although the 76ers and Bucks look the two to beat there.

@Sneakdefreak the Lakers still got LBJ and AD. LA is spoilt for basketball riches now. GSW will be lucky to make the playoffs if Boogie leaves and Klay doesn't get back soon enough
-
@Sneakdefreak if he wanted rest he should have either gone to the Lakers, where he could have coasted at times, or back to Toronto. He's gonna have to carry George at crunch time
-
@Sneakdefreak the Logo made it happen

Eh? Shouldn’t that three letter GSW be OKC?
Warriors still have Curry, Green and now with a bit of extra cap can get better role players.

I don't know how much room they have. Lots of movement to come in free agency, its hard to know what teams will look like. You are right though, OKC are looking bad right now. Russ is all alone again

OKC are better off trading Westbrook and getting more picks and young players and trying to build something a year or two from now. They're not winning the west with the Clippers, Lakers, Trailblazers, Nuggets, Pelicans and GSW all in their way.
