Fully expect to see Naholo sent off here for no arms in the tackle too!
Ha!! I was taking the piss, but Clarke has actually just suggested it!!!!!

@damo how can you tell he wasn't going to catch it from that split second?
Because he thrust his hand out with force and whacked it forward.
My view may not be popular in all quarters, but I maintain that is and should be a PK, and in the correct context a YC.

Can't really argue with that I'm afraid.
Didn't we see that exact thing get reversed yesterday? Player goes for intercept, can't catch it due to opposition tackle/knock. Knock on.
Not exactly the same. In the other example the player was a semi realistic chance to catch the ball. Personally I thought the other one might have been a PK as well, but it was marginal.
Yeah I really can't judge how you can say he wasn't going to catch it. Penalty at best, no way its a card. Isn't card usually only brought out if it's a pressing attacking chance (e.g. Try beckoning)

Highlanders hot on attack ON THE LINE. Tats steal the ball and stop the attack.
By the Aaron Smith definition, thats a clear yellow card.
Yes I'm surprised that wasn't a card. Should have been at least a warning.

Ref's argument is idiotic. If Hooper misses, he's left a huge gap in the line.

The stitch up is on fullas.

Agree. He should have had a look at the wide angle. If he looks at the wide angle and determines there's no attacking play then fair enough no YC, but to not even look was poor and inconsistent (and frankly a bad look).
