I went Retallick, Read and Cruden. Cane deserved a vote too.
Eh??
Cruden provided great guidance around the field. His only mistake was missing touch on a kick. If Ben Smith isn't there, I hope they pick Barrett at fullback next week.
Well, another of his kicks led to the Lions first try when the AB were going forward and the Lions defense beginning to crack under pressure. He also missed his tackle on Williams. Otherwise, not a bad effort from him but not good enough to be named in a MOTM thread.
I went with Retallick, Read and Dagg. That kick which lead to a lions try was a fantastic kick. Read should have made the tackle and the Lions are trapped in their own end. It was a poor kick chase - not his fault. I also wonder whether or not SBW was prevented making a tackle in the lead up to that try.

Damn shame we didn't get to see 80 minutes of Kainos Carnage but Dagg had huge game I thought .
Yeah I though Dagg was outstanding. He may have had better games in black, but I can't remember them.
-
Cane, Rettalick, A Smith.
SBW and Dagg unlucky but with a game like that you have to start with the low numbers and dish them out accordingly.
Smith's crisp passing, clear direction and accurate kicking game was the difference between a real arm wrestle and a game where the ABs largely had them at bay the entire game.

There was a semi final at the same ground that was semi memorable!

Whenever these polls are set up they should have one auto vote for BBBR and then you get two choices
That seems like the go, although I thought that Cane would be the stand out number 1 pick from this match, he was relentless. Those two runs in a row when he was out of it seem to be counting against him.

I reckon that's his best game since then too - 6 years between drinks, but glad he can still deliver in big tests.
-
Brodie, Cane and Dagg for me. All 3 were huge.
Aaron Smith, Read and SBW very close. Aaron Smith's best test in a very very long time.
Special shout out to Rieko who was a total baller in his first start (what a test to have your first start in). Hansen can sure pick them.

Read, Cane and BBBR
Easy

I would've said Whitelock too, although seems to be out of favour for this test. Didn't he get the steal on the line?
-
I think Whitelock suffers in these polls because 1) he's a lock, and most people choose one of the locks to give their vote too and 2) he's so bloody consistent one performance doesn't tend to stand out above another. Stealing lineout ball at critical moments in our own half is his bread and butter - see also semi final vs SA.

How good was Read? You wouldn't have thought he hadn't played for 6 weeks or so. Impressed by Dagg and Cane as well.
-
@No-Quarter it's quite amazing that we have both of them at the same time.
-
Retallick, Whitelock, Read
Followed very closely by Cane, Dagg, Moody.
Kaino, Barrett, Crotty, SBW, A. Smith the next tier
