Wi Fit! ADVICE WANTED

we just got it mate(fit). some of it so far is pretty full on. and there is an emphasis on technique so you can't just cheat and fool your self. <br />

real sweat from a real work out! but its nothing you can't already without it to be honest. fun though, but not sure how long it will hold my interest -

Cheers mate. Do you think Wi Fit could be a good starting point for someone who hasnt done much exercise for quite a while to get back into the swing of it though? -
I bought one for the missus and I quite like it. It's quite eery how it knows if you doing the exercise right or wrong. Has a wide range of types of exercise, and it's very useful for tracking your progress.<br />

I agree that you don't need it, but it's a fun easy to learn how to do some fitness and strength work, and how to record what you do. -

We bought a Wii for my parents for X-mas and I fell in love with it. The system came with Wii Sports and I really enjoyed the Tennis and Boxing in particular. My wife and I will be getting the system for ourselves next. Haven't tried the Wii Fit yet, but if the other games are anything to go by, I'm sure it's great. They really put a lot of technology into this system.

if it gets bums OFF seats, it must have something going for it. but how bizarre man is - replicate on a game what you can do by going outside to a tennis court etc - gone full circle from playing tennis (for example) with joysticks, to doing the actions.<br />

hopefully it'll get people out there into the real world and playing these games and things for real!!<br />

Concept2 RB - very addictive, zero impact, record everything you do, as you soon start wanting to 'have one more row' to try and beat your last time... And if you keep regular, your times do go down every row for ages!! -

I totally agree re the tennis/boxing/golf type games Bart, that has been my argument all along for not getting a Playstation. Much better knocking someone out for real than doing it in cyberland.<br />

If the Wi Fit programme can get my missus moving and back into training then its a got to be a good thing.<br />

We are going to rent a Concept 2 for a month and see how much we use it. Personally I cant wait to crank it up while watching some live rugby on the big screen. -
mate - geyt into it on while watching sport - I used to do a half of rugby during my lunch hour, and ther next half the next dayu!<br />

I did a marathon session once during an ODI - can't remember exact distances, but did a massive interval train. thousand metre increments, going up from a 1000 to I don't know how high, and then back down again (maybe only 5 or 6 thousand metres), so was something like 1,2,3,4,5,6,5,4,3,2,1. Can't remember my rest periods, but would try and cane each one as hard as possible.
